Exactly! I guess if you drop in an anti-Smith comment in 1000 threads over the course of 2 years, when he eventualy moves on you feel justified in saying I told you all so???? I guess that's how it works. Boring!

Because players like that still have their licence, all the good ones have to catch public transport when flocking to Smith because of all the DUIs and take too long to get there

What we no longer appear to be signing are tired old veterans looking for a retirement package, or overrated, overpaid players with an attitude problem. And that can only be a good thing.

I have always struggled to understand why some think that he doesn't attract players. We will have one of the most lethal packs in the comp next year. We have some quality young backs coming through. Many think that our problem in the backline are Mini and Anasta (which I am one) but they didn't come with Smithy. There has been a bit of a clean out of some deadwood and problem players. Moga and Tagive could add a bit of speed that we have lacked. SBW I hear is big hope for next year now. What more do we need for next year?

Probably the last time the Roosters attracted a decent one - Fittler in the mid 1990s.

Consider that perhaps its not Smith that's the problem, but the Roosters club themselves that some decent players don't want to be involved with. The headline players the Roosters have attracted in the last 10 years were overrated duds who were at the club for the wrong reasons. Smith cannot be blamed for that.
