  • Gosford

    Last year, on Fox Sports TV, on 27 May 2018, Roosters v Titans, in the program preview, was written;

"The Roosters lost a controversial, but entertaining duel with Broncos, while the Titans ended their five-games losing streak.
This game is being played at Gosford, where the Roosters have one win from their past ten."

    One from ten...ridiculous!
Beat the Titans...struggled to beat them...only piled on points at the end.
    Now two from 11.

Now that the Club is selling 'Central Coast Memberships'...it's time to fix that situation and claw back to even, then get in front.

Taking games against top teams to Gosford is a very bad idea...there's a good chance of losing.
Only games against the non-top teams should be taken there...fans love winning!
No wonder Souths have now claimed ownership of the Central Coast...they win there, we lose there.
Of course, there are no guarantees, but there's a better chance of winning against lower ranked teams.

We shouldn't be taking any games to the Central Coast, now that we don't have the feeder arrangement with them.

Makes more sense than playing in Adelaide...or Perth...or anywhere else.

      Woy Woy Roosters...

Agreed. Take a game to North Sydney if we have to and Adelaide.

          Brooklyn...central coast.
All good...we should play at Gosford and win.

North Sydney oval is horrible...hard as a rock and fans can't see a thing.

The players treat it like a holiday.

Roosters still do have an agreement with the Central Coast Junior Rugby League, they put resources into it (clinics, support etc), especially for their local rep sides so that it is a pathway to the NRL/the Roosters
                https://www.centralcoastrugbyleague....coast-roosters

The agreement with our feeder team is different, that just houses our 1st grade reserves- other than maybe one or two clinics, don't think the roosters have any relationship with bears juniors other to than the pathway to the bears NSW cup team and exposure to the Roosters. Bears field their own rep sides without the rooster's influence.

Also as mentioned above, the roosters now own the Woy Woy Leagues club which puts more resources into the area.

Having games on the CC would be part of a bigger strategy of gaining new supporters and potential talent

                  It's better than the SCG.

Time someone stopped them doing that.
Time they were made play properly there.

We desperately need to beat the Cowboys there on 14 July.
                      Bastille Day.
We need to storm the saloon and beat up the cowboys.

I love going to Gosford, Go to the game and grab a good meal afterwards at the club across the road. Nice ground to watch the game not far from the water.

Maybe once, but have you seen all the new SUVs etc in the carparks lately?
                            All the money being spent?
The middle class that can no longer afford Sydney is moving to the Central Coast. Plus retirees buying cheaper housing, new cars, and having money left over to spend.
We should get a slice of the action.
Woy Woy Leagues, Easts Group...has been totally renovated.

If the Roosters start winning at Gosford the fans will fill the stadium.[and the money rolls in.]
So far, every time they've gone there the Roosters have lost...except last year. [and the trial earlier this year, that was a joke...we lost that too].

We should be taking games to North Sydney Oval. I don't know what sort of hoops we would need to go through however if Norths are now our feeder club we should start building for a fan base around that area.

The oval itself could have a great atmosphere if we get 10k-15k crowd there.
