Lets talk now then. At the moment Darius Boyd is a better player than GI and probably has been since Inglis was gifted a GF in 2014.

If he becomes an immortal it will be an absolute joke

GI dominated origin and test football for a decade. He is the highest origin tryscorer in history and made Darius boyd look good playing outside him. His record speaks for itself and I would suggest all immortals would say he belongs. Imo

Aside from being centres from indigenous backgrounds who have massive fends, they're very different players IMO. Latrell's far more mobile and has a lot of fine touches that GI never had.

So the next GI? No, don't insult him. That's like saying he's the next Mundine.
Can I suggest you watch some footage of gi playing on the wing for australia and centres for the storm in his early days.

Latrell is well on track to be a far more accomplished footballer than GI.

Greg wasn't even that adept at switching the ball between his hands when running. Contrast that to Latrell who switched the ball beautifully from a dummy in the right hand to his left hand so he could palm away with his right hand twice in that incredible run on Friday night.

As athletes they're equals. But as far as natural footballing talent is concerned, Latrell will leave GI in his wake.

wasn't GI one of the many storm players who had signed 2 very different contracts at the height of the storm's salary cap cheating and of course he knew nothing was unusual in signing 2 very different contracts? wasn't GI given an expensive boat outside the cap from memory? Of course the players did no wrong and knew nothing about cap cheating.

Interesting that cronk from memory was one of the very few storm players from memory who didn't have a "second" side contract.

Yep, GI knew exactly what was going on. He's a blatant cheat. See excerpt below...

Waldron sat down with them later and opened with a curious statement. He said he had been told by the NRL that he must do whatever it takes to secure the future of Inglis at the Storm and in the NRL long term.

Gainey took Waldron to mean that he had been empowered by the NRL, News Ltd and the Storm board of directors to negotiate whatever it would take - that he had a totally free hand to keep Inglis in the league. The CEO proposed a four-year deal.

Inglis had been contracted to Storm for 2007-2010. His performances were improving and his stature in the game was growing at club, state and international levels. Gainey said, "Greg will need a financial package of $550,000 per season to extend his contract to represent his true market value."

Waldron nodded and said he didn't think that was a problem. But he added the package would have to include third-party agreements and mentioned the possibility of a federal government program for outstanding indigenous athletes.

Gainey says he thought Waldron meant the NRL would approve any increase in salary and perhaps involve its sponsors in some legitimate side deals.

Gainey spent the rest of the meeting chasing up extras. Inglis wanted a sponsor's car to drive and he wanted airfares for his family. The agent also mentioned money owed. Inglis had still not been paid promised money through the league development scheme. Also, there was $40,000 outstanding from a contract variation.

The world's most exciting player had not spoken much during the meeting, letting his agent go to work. In wrapping up, Waldron concluded that he would seek the endorsement and ratification of the board at Storm and get back to Gainey.

As everyone was leaving Inglis said to Waldron, "Is there any chance of getting a boat for Dad?" Not even Gainey knew his client was going to make the request.

Waldron replied, "When you're ready I'll give you a contact person and they'll look after you. Up to a maximum of $30,000."

A week after the Federation Square meeting, Gainey and Inglis caught up briefly at Manly Pacific Hotel. Storm were playing the Sea Eagles at Brookvale the following day. The agent and footballer itemised the terms for extending Inglis's contract.

Inglis liked the look of the items and numbers. "I'll stay if you can get that deal done," he said.

Then Inglis flagged, almost as an afterthought, his desire for Storm to provide rental assistance to his parents should they relocate to Melbourne (they were planning to do so). Gainey said he would try to include it. He left the meeting experiencing relief and satisfaction.

Of course I said he will ya muppet. I even reckon he is a better player at this stage of his career than GI. Haven’t seen any stats, but has
played for his state and Country already, probably has scored more points too.

GI had achieved more than what Latrell had at the same age but that doesnt mean he is better than Latrell. At the end of the day they both are/have been champion players, GI was the best now Latrell is the best.
I obviously like Latrell a lot more that Inglis because Latrell plays for the Chooks so I get to see him more & every time I see him play it is just a pleasure. His size, speed & aggression is second to none. The Roosters did real well to get him.

Of course we all like Latrell, and he is a potentially great player, if he finishes his career with as many achievements as Greg Inglis then he will be truly a superstar. I hope he does, but there is a long way to go. But if he leaves the Roosters and goes to Souths, or Melbourne, or Brisbane, does he suddenly become less worthy? That's ridiculous, as is the comparisons with Inglis at this stage, it's like comparing a 2 year old who has won 3 races with Winx. Latrell can be better than Inglis, but we won't know for about 10 years. Enjoy the ride.

At the same stage..... that is before they turned 22 years of age..... Inglis had played for Australia 5 times as many as Latrell has, he had played more that twice as many origins, played 3 grand finals, scored more tries in fewer games, you really are making yourself look stupid, I have tried to get you to grow up but looks like you are just a bit too stupid to help.
