  • Josh Curran to debut ??

Just listening to a podcast with Mini, he said Maubs to centre , Curran to debut ? I have only watched him a few times but looks very promising, hope he goes well

He didn’t stand out for Norths last Saturday. In the trial v Manly he ran with enthusiasm and purpose.

Poor old Bears...looks like Lam, Verrils, Sitili and Curran were all at the Capts run. They play 3pm tomorrow, tough scheduling.

I thought the team had to be finalised 48 hours before the game so surely the decision has been officially made known somewhere.

The Roosters usually do a post 24 hours before kick-off telling us who from the 21 have squad made the 19 man squad. They must have all been out on the piss last night cause nobody bothered.

Hope not. Reserve grade would be a farce if a bloke who is eighteenth man for first grade on a Friday night, can't play for the reserves on the Saturday.

He can and does if the reserves play the next day.

Yeah and even if a player plays less than 15 minutes for firsts they can back up and play reserves that weekend depending on the scheduling .

But when the reserves play before the firsts as in today, Robbo will usually hold back one possibly two players in case of injuries in warm-up etc.

Be good if this was taken into account by the game schedulers. Players must hate "no man's land".

21 gets cut down to 19 players 24 hours before, final 17 is only decided 1 hour before kick off
