WHY......did we have to throw that shocking pass 10 meters out with 2 minutes to go.

WHY.....cant we win the close games this year (Warriors, Titans).

    WHY......

Because we are not mentally there. Now apply that to the position, status and responsibilities of the coach. it wasnt bad luck, we do it all the time. We are soft in the head. Strong teams finish off soundly and with resolve...we are sweating over a stop watch.
I don't know the reasons why. My point was, it wasn't Friend's fault for throwing a pass 100 metres downfield (like someone are trying to lead us to believe)

John, I certainly agree its not easy.
But look at the turn around in the Dogs culture in less than a year.

What a terrible thing for me to say...It was only 3-4 minutes left

We do not remember how to win...
Yeup, guilty as charged. I thought the same things in effect.

I am definitely a head case and I have to say I've gotten that way following this clueless, heartless, disgraceful rabble of late.

But you must acknowledge Freddy's responsibility in coaching calm and composed play. You must acknowledge that the coach is responsible for removing dumb play from the team. We keep getting penalised for dumb things week in and out. Friend didnt have to throw that dumb lazy clumsy pass. But he wasnt capable of not throwing it.

If we knocked on like that in 03-04, the other team would not have gone past their own 40m....

KB, I think that sometimes we can mistake a culture being created when a team is winning. The Dogs have done a great job, they have bought some good leaders and have some good youngsters and it is a massive turn around for them but I would argue that a good culture can not really be recognised in a turn around from one season to the next. It takes many years to build it up. They are on the right track though.

Can you be losing games and still have a good culture at a club? I would say yes you can but when teams have their arse hanging out, it must be difficult.

Friend threw one poor pass. The Titans took the ball 100 metres. Got a repeat set. Then scored with a minute to go. I am not really concerning the coach in all this. All I am saying is to blame Friend for the loss, is ridiculous! But whilst we are commenting on the coach, I guess the comeback in the second half was none of his doing, right? We seem to be quick to blame and criticise him for a bad pass that Friend threw...

I blame our attitude for the loss. i blame our attitude for a -155 point differential. Defense is attitude. Attitude is set not by Freddy alone, but all teh coaching staff....which of course includes fittler. Attitude is and always has been our problem. And in case you didnt notice, we didnt lose that game in teh last 2 minutes. We lost it 10 before half time when we allowed 3 soft tries...NO ATTITUDE!!!

I didn't blame Friend for the loss all I said was it was a turning point. You could clearly see the players drop their heads when that happened and like Melon said the attitude in past years would have stopped them going the 100 metres to eventually score.

Overall Friend's service from dummy half was pretty good all night with that exception. I guess when a team has lost for so long and an unlikey win looms only to be denied with 1 minute on the clock it has everyone scratching their heads as to why???

We knock off early mentally and physically both halves week after week.

And yet Fittler and his posse are still clueless on why this happens, or what to do about it.

How many bloody weeks does it take to come up with a solution, be it extra fitness sessions, shrink, interchange, boot up the backside, magic water, whatever.

There is no winning instinct in this squad whatsoever. I reckon you could take the opposition off the field in the last 5 minutes of the game, and our blokes would still find a way to lose, even if they were in front.

LOL count me in there PTB.

I had a mate over who is a Faider fan and he left when we scored at the end and said well done. I said we will lose this, he laughed at me. He was on the phone before hed arrived home, he was stunned, I wasnt though. Ironically his team did the same thing the next day.

As Melonious has said for ages now, we need a SHRINK.
