The Sydney Roosters have today announced that Dylan Napa has been granted an immediate release from the final year of his contract to sign with another NRL club.
"We have granted this release with the view that it is in Dylan's best interests to secure his long-term future," said Easts Group CEO Scott Bennetts.
"Dylan has been a passionate clubman, and he will always have many friends at the Roosters. We thank Dylan for his contribution to the Roosters over the years, and wish him every success in the future," he added.
Napa made his NRL debut with the Roosters in 2013 and played 122 games over six seasons, highlighted with a Premiership win in 2018.

Will be interesting to see if Taupau is brought in this year or we bank Napa's cash and go on a spending spree for 2020.
Also important to remember that Latrell and Manu are going to need significant upgrades over the next couple of years.

For the best. Napa really failed to hit the heights expected of him if we're to be honest. That performance vs Souffs in 2016 will go down as one of the greatest individual performances I've seen by a front rower for our club.
Consistency was the issue for him here and he just didn't produce often enough in our colours. Think this move will suit all parties.

I would be shocked if a replacement isn’t already in place, hopefully it’s Marty!

Good luck to Dylan …
Wouldn't say no to getting someone else at the right price, but with JWH, SST, Tetevano, Liu, Collins and maybe Faamausili we satisfy Chris Anderson's requirement for needing six props. (2 for the starting side, 2 for the bench, 2 for the judiciary).
With Crichton being an 80 minute player, Liu will be exclusively a middle.
I'd rather use Dylan's money to keep what we've got. Big chance for Collins to make his mark, with Farmer being back up. We probably need to sign someone cheaply who can play firsts in the event of injury.
Anyone know what Dylan was on? Wouldn't have been peanuts.
