Many people on this forum have complained about aubo’a form. I think he has been very underrated this year. He played very well on the weekend, and always plays his guts out. He is the embodiment of a ‘mr reliable.’

I'm one of those....and yes I realise I'm the minority. On the bench as a utility at best and has offered **** all for a long time. Kills our centres and literally wouldnt bend an under 10 teams line. Dont even get me started about his inability to pass . Each to their own but his retirement can't come soon enough

Love the bloke. But he has lost pace (as a forward) and line breaking ability with age, which was one of his big advantages.

But once Butcher and Collins hit their straps next year - which they will (+ the addition of Crichton), i struggle to see where he fits in.

Some of his tackling has been first class of late and when he straightened up his attack it created Tedesco's try back on the inside. For me, that will be key - if he runs straight it creates opportunities inside and out. Manu and Fergo can be deadly but they need room to operate. Aubo might just be hitting form at the right time.

Manu and Fergo dominance with the ball?

And most importantly the tightness of that right edge in defence?

I know I was pretty tanked but what did you do to yourself pre game?

Yes he is solid in defense but that is all he offers these days.

I homestly think he will get a tap on the shoulder this offseason,

I remember the decoy for the first try. He looked like he was gonna get it, and that’s why it worked. And if he did, he woulda scored.

He went well the other night.

We just might struggle against the bigger pack, like what happened against Brisbane.

He's been a great club man but I dont think he adds too much to the team anymore. Agree his runs and lack of passing game have stifled our attack.

I am talking about this season mate as the title of the thread says he is our best option on that right edge, IMO.

Otherwise its Liu or Matto who are being utilised up front and In the middle, until Napa returns.

I would have thought that being the winger and Centre outside Maubs are playing great footy in both attack and defence is due in many ways to the crafty veteran inside them.

I guess it’s another of those moments when the coach has got it wrong.

Aubo is a better defensive option on that right edge than Liu or matto. I think it suits the balance of the team to have Liu starting at lock and then bringing Radley on to replace him. Aubo mightn't be the attacking force he once was but he is solid and he is a good kick chaser and often pins the winger deep on their line off bombs. Both Fergo and Manu compete better off kicks than Mitchell and Toops who can be a bit lackluster chasing bombs.

He's the superior option to Matto and Liu IMO.

Admitedly it was only against Parra but that's the best our right edge has looked in a long time.

a bit lackluster? I would say very lackluster most of the time. I don't understand why our outside backs over many years and doesnt matter who they were (with the exception of fergo who does put an effort in to chase) seem to jog casually chasing high bombs and as a result rarely get there in enough time to put pressure on the opposition receiver yet it is only tedesco who runs full bore (similar to mini) chasing a high bomb.

I do get the love for him though with his service to the club. Just in my opinion his performances this year have been very average......hope he kills it the next few weeks and makes me look like a dope like many a player before him has
