  • So where will we finish going into the finals?

Looks like the minor premiership is out of our reach unless Melbourne lose and we win and make up the 32 point differential. Unlikely. Bad luck for the guy who had 8 grand or whatever it was on us coming first. Ouch.

2nd is looking most likely if us and Souths both win (they play Tigers). Our points diff is 43 points better than theirs.

Good news is we can't miss the 4. If we lose to Parra we could tie for 4th with any combination of Penrith, St George, Broncos and Warriors however our points diff is too far ahead of any of them to be in any danger.

So first week vs Souths looks most likely, presumably it would be at Allianz. Worst case would be Storm in Melbourne if we lose to Parra.

Also if Souths lose and us and Cronulla win, then Cronulla would finish 3rd and we would play them in week 1.

I think that's all right....or maybe I've completely confused myself....

I have no doubt we will finish 2nd after beating the Eels this weekend.

My concern is playing the monstrous Souffs forward pack minus Napa in the first week of the finals!

Souths at home. Pumped for that one!
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

Yeah its a worry. Both teams will be desperate for the week off so it will be a very tough game in the forwards. Losing and having to back up would not be good, we could be looking at straight sets.

souths have a big pack as well as having inglis back in the centers.I would prefer not having to play souths first up.

I'd rather play the Storm down in Melbourne.

No Chambers and likely no NAS.

Everyone writing us off and a nice dry track to play like we did vs Manly and the Dragons and get the ball wide to our strike centres.

Actually The Riff play Melba, they have been slammed the last few weeks, they may just stand up.

Melba cant miss the top 2. They may not be as worried about this game as we think. They may rest a fair few and have some injuries and suspensions too.

MP is still achievable I reckon.

But that said I don't think we care about it either. Win and get a home semi. No injuries or suspensions.

We are in a great spot and its ours to grab.

              The FlogPen .

              You know it makes sense.

Yeah I was just thinking the MP is more achievable than I’d realised. Penrith winning and us putting 30 on Parra are both quite possible.

Still it hardly matters. The only difference between 1st and 2nd is a bit of prize money. I just feel sorry for the dude on here who put a few grand on us winning the MP! Can’t remember his name.

So Tommy what’s your thoughts on the refs for the upcoming 3 games - Klein Cummings and Sutton ?

Haha if we play Brissy in the finals you just know Sutton will be appointed.

The Nrl will probably even move the game to Suncorp lol

First. Melbourne will rest Smith and get beaten by Penrith. That will place them second and play Souffs at home, avoiding their arch enemy Cronulla who i think are timing their run and are always on amd physical against the storm.
We will play the filthy Sharks who we always struggle against

on NRL.com they are suggesting if the Roosters finish 2nd and the Vermin 3rd it would be played at Allianz on Friday Night.

downside is the Vermin would have an 8 day break compared to only 6 days for us.

Let’s hope parra are already in mad Monday mode and give us an easy time on Sat.
