His shoulder still hit the ball although McCulloughs knees were nearly 90 degrees bent. Naturally your head is on your shoulders so of course it's going to be higher. If McCullough hadn't have dropped the shoulder would've been in the ribs and the head in the left pec

Didn't look like his shoulder hit the ball to me. Looked like it was above the ball and straight into the upper chest and neck.

I was in the members and it was directly in line with where I sat. I said to a pal “ gee Napa is fired up” due to him being involved in the tprevious 2 tackles and as he ran back onside he saw his opponent then in a instant turned suddenly and the collision happened. Napa was effectively offside but was committed to the tackle.

Napa was clearly aiming at his chest (see picture), but McCullough tried to fend him off with his left hand, which was under Dylan's head, pushing upwards. This either caused Dylan up a little, or McCullough down a little, or both, resulting in the head clash.

It looked ugly, but there was no intent, and McCullough definitely contributed to the outcome. We should fight the grading at the very least.

But for those sighting precedent, don't bother. Judiciary rules do not allow for any previous ruling to act as precedent on a case.

Has the club indicated whether they will fight the charge yet?

how do you run a corrupt sport?

remove precedent. Have no reference points in writing thereby allowing rules as you go.

He can plea and the challenge the grading can't he?

If it's not already done, IMO that is what he will do because the risk of getting 4 weeks is too high.

Early plea to get the discount then be like nah it was accidental, there was no shoulder hitting his head (my head hit his head you mug!!! Not generally a penalty...) but I have taken the plea to appease Sutton and Greenturd, so at least show some sense and give it a grading commensurate with the non-offence.

Grade 1... 80 points minus 10 because I was sent off... I will take it as a fine only offence and play next week thank you.

The Sydney Roosters have elected to enter an Early Guilty plea after Dylan Napa was cited by the NRL Match Review Committee in Round 24.

Napa received a Grade 3 Dangerous Contact charge for an incident that occurred in the 24th minute of the match on Broncos player Andrew McCullough.

He will serve a three match suspension and hold 40 Carry-Over Points.

So Grand Final or Prelim (if we choke in the first week of finals) at best for Naps, ouch.

I won't miss his handful of pedestrian carries with the ball. Having said that, we don't have much depth in the prop position that would give us much confidence so I would play Jared & Taka for longer minutes - we would be a much better team if both of these guys were given more minutes.

His defence and presence will be missed way more than his carries with the ball that’s for sure.

Still surprised we didn’t take the early guilty plea and challenge the grading..

Anyway we move forward and pray for no more disruptions to our starting 17..

They’re trying to make up for him missing the 2013 GF cause they played ODonnell instead
                          ..it’ll be interesting to see

                            Weak response by the club.

Yes I’m sure opposition teams will be happy that Napa isn’t playing. He may not top the stats but his physical presence is vital for us.

We could well of ended up with the 4 weeks if we just fought it outright.

After Greenturd made his comments in the aftermath of Dylan not getting charged the first time, this was never going to end well.
