  • Todd Carney a Barba/Hayne fullback?

I reckon Todd Carney would be way better in fullback cos he's so awful in defense. He's small, has a good step, fast and knows how to find the line (like Barba) but he's also able to kick and set up trys really well (hayne).

I reckon if we put him in the NSW cup and wait for him to find some form and discipline, he could be a great attacking asset to the team that doesn't let down our defense. He did a good job at the start of 2010 as well.

I actually want a fullback that can defend and catch a bomb but that's just me

TC is not really tall/big enough for a fullback in 2012 NRL.
Anyway, it's all academic, he's gone..."we can't have a person like that at our club".
The decison was just delayed for some reason, the media statement said he/his manager requested it, some people are not buying that.

sorry i meant he gets ran over by forwards really easy. If you put him in fullback he would remind me of ben barba as both can't defend but are great in attack.

If it's the only way that the giant dog ego will allow Carney to be in the side then I would cop him at Fullback.

Todd Carney fit, focused, sober and motivated can easily be the best 5/8 in the game

But and it is a big BUT he has to want to do it, if he doesn't it could become one of the great tragedies of the modern era as he has talent to burn.

Balls in your court Toddy are you an Amy Winehouse (i.e demons got the better of her), or a Robert Downey Jr (Overcame demons to re-invent himself with a lot of success)

Cool. Whoever he plays for next year can give him a shot at fullback cos it sure as shit wont be us!

So, will the bleating continue next year, or the year after, when he is gone?
                        Geez. Give it a break.

Ye maybe he's attack was good at fullback last year but he's catching under the high ball, he's positioning he's defence was all our still poor he's a 5/8 and in some circumstances a halfback that's all

If people make bad decisions and bad things happen as a result, they deserve criticism.
