  • bring on the merge pretenders

yesterday was fun, but doing a similar job on the merge pretenders would be glorious.

This game is going to be huge. It could potentially be for top spot on the ladder.

I am supremely confident we will give it to them.

It’s going to be a much tougher assignment than Manly. I was astounded at how flimsy their defence was.
Our completion rate was much better. We also had a few early penalties yesterday that helped give us a good start. Probably won’t get that next week.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Much stronger opposition. We have to be at our absolute best to get the 2 points.

I am supremely confident we will beat these pretenders.

I can see the look in Robbo’s eyes yesterday talking about lessons learned after the Anzac Day match,no doubt the boys will be ready!

An interesting ladder!!! Their PD of ~200 looked unattainable and they were on 28 three rounds ago (with ~200 PD to boot).

What a difference two losses can make!!!

A win (which I reckon is certainly possible on current form) could put us as high as 1st on PD. Unlikely, but out PD is now the 2nd best in the comp. We have well and truely entered the business end of the season!!! This is getting exciting.

Dragons will be tough, but say we beat Merge, Cows and Souffs... I reckon we are suddenly minor premiership favourites (and hitting finals season with form).

That’s the only scary thing. Looking at the stats...
            - Manly has more possession
            - We were both up around 80% completions
            - Most other stars were even (with Manly doing a lot more offloads) BUT...
            - We got significantly more linebreaks

I doubt other teams will let us run straight through the middle of them like that.

Spot on RoosterChick. The merge will be a much much sterner test.

                I'm also supremely confident.

I reckon Robbo can't stand that mug Mary so this will be personal.

                Roosters by 20.

                30-10.

                  merges last 10 games are:
                  beat cows bottom 8 side
beaten by wests. Bottom 8 side
strom smacked them. Top 8 side
beat spooners parra by 2. Bottum 8
                  smacked manly Bottom 8
smacked dullbogs bye 2. bottom 8
riff gave them a lesson. top 8 side
they beat the faiders. bottom 8 side
then the toofless ones beat them. top 8 side

merge v top 8 sides out of 10 games they have won 000000nothing
merge v bottom 8 side out of the last 10 games won 6 games. wests beat them

pretty shit stat really. we need to bash them and show the other top 4 that we are here now playing at 65% instead of 50%. Look out when we hit 80%.

merge plays parra, dullbogs, nz us west and knights. easy run except for 2 or 3 games

There's a LOT of confidence here which I hope gets vindicated. I can't bring myself to be so exuberant because it's the merge and because I don't know who will be appointed to officiate.

I am supremely confident that the NRL will assign Ben Cummins to this game. All other confidence I might have about the game evaporates as a result.

I really hope we smash them. Pay back for Anzac Day. Particularly the bit where they high fived each other like they’d won the GF when we took a shot at penalty goal. That was offensive. I hope our guys watch that for motivation.

Every time these two clubs meet the losing team always walks away lamenting what could have been.

It will be a huge match. There is rain forecast for Friday/Saturday. Let's hope it clears by Sunday.
