There are 2 sides to the game however. He played 80 minutes, made 46 tackles at over 95% efficiency, and was error free. It's that kind of effort that allows others to put more of their energy into attack. Not every player is going to be a tackle-busting battering ram. SST didn't have a single tackle bust yesterday - did he have a bad game?

And dems da facts. Good to see someone analysing the game and that's not even considering the off the ball positional plays and decoy runs above the highlight reel. Matto was a big reason we stopped the Eagles pack in their tacks and won going away.

The only consolation there is we scored pretty soon after.

I dont mind Matto, but wonder about his future.
If he's not a starting player, we seem to have better options on the bench like Liu , Tetevano and Napa/JWH. Not to mention Collins and Farmer Silly looking to get ahead.

Cronk needs that line running back rower outside him and Matto just isn’t there yet

Roosters attack - 7 out of 10- should have put 80 on them in reality

Roosters defence - 5 out of 10- conceded some very easy tries in the second half which took a lot away from the win

              12 out of 20

              Roosters a 6 out of 10

              Robbo a 6 out of 10 - Still a WIP

they should have put 80 on them if they went the whole 80 minutes - they bombed a few tries and conceded some very soft second half tries - need to put the pedal to the metal as they say - starting this week

Seriously, has any team ever scored 80 in a game in the NRL era?
