He could open up the game with a bustling run or at least ease the strain on the forwards.
And if he was going to hang out and wait for the ball, they could at least play down that edge more.
He would be devastating running regularly from dummy half. Opposition teams would hate it. With fergo leaving hopefully he starts doing more of it for us.

Latrell was quiet but a really bad miss when he rushed up and missed Slater , he does that every so often , learns from it for two games then does it again. ( So the Roosters should see two good games from him before he rushes up and gets no one )

Klemmer and Sims have played their last Origins , Sims should never have been picked, he doesn't have the character that NSW wanted , he's a sumbag , diver , grub.
Klemmer is a dumb arse Bulldog.

Cordrner doesnt pass , how can he be first grade material if he doesnt pass. , When we had SBW playing for us Cordrner started to look for the SBW style offload after poking his head through , now he is just going to ground and getting turned over. Same rubbish every game,

Very disappointing performance but Teddy was good as usual , cant fault him.

Keith's point about Cordner not passing is spot on. Whilst a tough and relentless player, I find Cordner largely one-dimensional and easy pickings for defenders. Gould is right about that aspect of Boyd's game.

I agree. Boyd goes hard and straight. If he added the occasisional pass to his game he would be less predictable. At one stage last night he nearly did throw a pass. I was shocked.

Latrell was on the GC preparing for Sunday’s game and decided he’d swing by Suncorp to watch the dead rubber.

He nearly threw that pass which would’ve been the right option, but just held back and took the tackle..
Having more confidence in ths offload would add so much to his game and the team dynamic, not sure why it hasn’t happened as yet!?!?

Someone should show him tape of Justin Hodges dummy half running style.

I get the feeling Boyd’s runs are more about setting up the following play, then quick play the ball, to go at a retreating defence for Keary, Tedesco, Maloney.

I thought someone would say that and you're probably right Skeez. The thing is that Boyd doesn't always get a quick play the ball and a little bit of variety in his game would confuse opposition defenses if they weren't sure they could commit as many defenders to slowing Boyd down.

I wonder how Latrell will back up?

Not just this weekend but the next 3 or so games?
Titans, Manly, Saints, Cowboys and then Bunnies

They say the next game is easier than the following 2-3. Maybe Trent will grant him some fishing leave to freshen up.

Proud of the kid...my only criticism is he should've done less. Screw origin .

That's the way it looked most of the night. And where SOO differs markedly from club games is the positional play has to be 100%. Can't go roaming around the field unless that's your given task - like Peachey. He's still very young and learning all of that. My only criticism is that he often chooses the easy option in defence. The shoulder put us right on the back foot from the kick off and gave the starting momentum straight away to the Maroons. Pretty sure Freddie, whilst immensely proud of the effort, would have addressed some areas of discipline as costing us the clean sweep. Tariq Sims the classic example. Same lack of discipline and resultant relieving penalties cost us game 2 and the series last year as well.
