Where have I mentioned players shouldn’t play Rep games??

The problem is playing in Origin (injured) and not bothering to back up for their Club the week after..

That’s poor form from a Club captain!

      Poor form???

telling the bloke he can’t play rep footy if he doesn’t back up is poor form.
Clubs manage the workload of there star players every year, it’s what happens.
How shit is it from our fans wanting to deny our skipper the opportunity to win an origin series 3-0 and hold that shield up. Not too many people get to achieve something like that in there career. Let’s deny the bloke because he should think of us first, ridiculous!!

Yes it’s poor form when the captain of your club plays 3 Origin matches without backing up for his club even once..

On top of that he is playing busted and won’t even last the match, and may miss plenty for his Club!

I support Easts and want our best players on the field competing to win a comp,I don’t care less about Origin!

Definetly poor form from Boyd in my opinion

They are a whingers because ythey are complaining about a situation they don't like. If you don't like the fact that the stars in the NRL play representative football, follow something else, or do something about it.

Maybe write a letter and cancel your membership. i.e. Act like an adult.

As for Cordner not backing up, its well known that he's not up to playing more than a game a week, his knees can't take it. Surely as a fan you know this?

He will be holding up the shield, regardless of whether he plays tonight or not. No one wants to stop players playing rep footy, it is about playing rep football when they are not fit to play. I hope no one wanting Boyd to play tonight, will complain if he suffers further injury and misses more than one game of football. After all it happened last year.

Athletes play for their glory not the fans. Very few will opt out from representing sport and those that do, like Jaime Lyons have their own agenda. Nothing to do with the fans, so let’s stop let’s stop criticising Boyd because at the end of his career what’s important to him is what he’s achieved. He’s the captain of NSW and he wants to be there as part of a 3 nil whitewash. Good luck to Boyd and NSW.

Fair enough mate,I’ll let this one go and supported his decision..

I just hope he doesn’t aggravate the injury and miss too many more games as he’s a key factor in the Roosters lifting the trophy in October!

Players get paid a considerable sum for playing Origin games?

its funny how so many criticized Paul Gallen for putting NSW first over the Sharks, yet are quick to defend Cordner for doing exactly the same thing to us.

I never understand the criticism of Gallen, he has played over 300 games for the sharks, rep footy hardly had a massive affect on club footy.

do people think that if Boyd didn’t play origin, he wouldn’t get injured during the season? He probably hasn’t played a game at full fitness since he done is knee a few times as a kid. Can’t blame origin for his past.

I don't have a problem with Boyd playing SOO, I have a problem with Boyd playing SOO when he is significantly less than 100% fit, he did the same thing in SOO3 last year and missed an extra 5 games for the Roosters by making an injury worse.

I don't get why so many here are happy for us to keep managing Cordner just so he is fit to play SOO, it makes absolutely no sense.

Are you alright, you seem to have some issues lol. My point was others are playing Origin and are supposedly backing up to play on Sunday as in Mitchell and Teddy so it's not like all the Origin players are being rested, Cordner can't seem to back up at all as it's either rep or club during this silly part of the season he just seem's to can't do both.
