If the price were right, absolutely you'd take him.

Still, without knowing what his best position is, I can see why there might be doubts about taking him back for what he's currently getting.

A hard one - he's young enough to develop into a superstar, but old enough to suggest that that's not an inevitability.

We lost him before Mitchell Pearce left, so the landscape has changed …

      I'd welcome him back.

Not wanted by The Knights. Could life get any tougher?!

He should be a no.9 and model his game on Damien Cook.

He has the same speed and acceleration.

Which would make him a cheaper alternative for us compared to cook.

Could say the same about Mitchell Pearce plus a huge kicking game

Watson is nothing more than an impact player, best used off the bench.

100% this. I'm a bad judge as I think he has been going well, he just misses Pearce to do the organising. Would welcome him back as a 9 or bench utility where he is also perfectly suited

In my opinion he can go find another new home, he could've easily stuck around as utility for us this season and learn from Cronk and play with him when Keary was injured for the first few rounds and even fill in for Teddy at Fullback when he was away for rep duties, and even fill in as a winger when Toops was out for several weeks but noooo ... he decided to chase the bigger money and obviously be a starting player elsewhere and when the likes of Ponga signing and then news breaking that Pearce was joining the Knights his plans got derailed and he struggled to find his place at the Knights.

Same shit years ago with RTS... a bloke has a decent season and a bit and all of a sudden they all demand top end money.

All the hype and recognition that Radley has received (obviously two different styles of players) this season could've easily been the same for Connor this season !

Yeah he should have stayed with us for the $150k-$200k he was on rather then the $600k the Knights and Tigers were offering. Playing a bit part in the season rather then the main role he was given at Newcastle.

Not to mention he signed well before Cronk had even thought about signing here.

You can’t blame the kid for taking his opportunities.
