  • We as a club.....

Need to grow a backbone. After that loss, I've come to the realisation that our team doesn't have the grittiness to win a comp, the grittiness that Melbourne has in abundance. Our chances of a top 4 spot suffered a huge blow tonight. The loss tonight and the loss to Brisbane tells me that we can't win the comp. I knew we'd lose tonight, we don't seem to posess that knockout blow when needed. We are a good side, not a great one. There's a reason why no one rates us.

We are alright Ray. People rate us. I do. You do.

That was a tough loss but look at the same game last year.
    ..it’ll be interesting to see

We needed to win that tonight, to send a message but we weren't good enough. Are you confident that we'll beat Saints and souffs? I'm not. The only way I'll change my view is if we can win every remaining premiership game and I can't see us doing that. I'm also sick and tired of the club sacrificing home games, It's such a dumb thing to do.

We won more games by less then 4 points last year then any team in history.

        I think we’re gritty enough.

You knew Storm would score with Radley in the bin, and Latrell would miss a kick in front of the posts. Genius.

          We will win the comp.

What a cop out this thread is.

The effort and resilience from the guys this year has been brilliant.

This was a game we had to win and we didn't. I want us to win the comp as much as anyone but the fact is we aren't good enough. Let's see if they can prove me wrong.

10 wins and 6 losses says it all.

I’m proud of them and I think we can win the comp. I know we can beat Souffs and Saints.

When the red fog recedes you will say the same.

The bookies still rate us, that’s all that matters.

we had plenty of key personnel out tonight,

We have been sub-standard and we are in the four if we win that. The comp is there for the taking.

It has been there for the taking many times before.

Gee you are a negative person Ray. Your glass isn’t half empty it’s just empty.

We were without our best forward and JWH who would have made a big difference. Plus we had a couple of blokes playing who really aren’t first graders. Aubo is also a big loss. Not to mention Matto who the coach seems to rate.

We gave our all. That’s all you can ask. We lost to a strong team in the final minutes. If we had won by a point instead you’d be going on about how well we played. Don’t be so fickle Ray.

We are all disappointed Ray. I along with many other supporters didn’t come all the way to Adelaide to see a loss.

Maybe a self imposed ban on The Chookpen when we lose until you have had a chance to calm down would be a good idea, otherwise you give the impression of being a fool and I know you are not.
