Attacking structures are robotic. We are still playing the same moves we played against the Titans in game one 2017.

I'm pretty sure it was Liu tonight Fletch. Once it got to him he didn't even look to pass to LM. Just hit it up. Much like Cordner does.

Imagine how good it would be if either was a ball player, either before or after the line. I think it's an area we lack. I know the games changed but it'd be nice to have an offloading edge runner.

The next 10 games will be a test starting this week against Penriff - surely the coaching staff have plans they are holding back and will unleash them soon- They wont trouble the better sides though if they don't pick up the tempo in both attack/defence and eliminate errors/penalties etc. Defence is the only thing winning games - sure they say defence wins games but you need to score points too which reduces the workload and pressure on your defence - 18-16 is a win but ……………………...

Keary has to do something about his patchy form if we’re going to do anything good

We used to be the team who were guilty of playing with too much width, for not keeping it straight and direct. Now we're the complete opposite, we're so limited in what we do that even our once notoriously brilliant left edge seems to be void of ideas and our right edge is just flat out non-existent. Do we have a right edge?

The tempo of our play is the key, we're too slow from pass 1 and 2 that by the time the ball reaches our edges the opposition aren't being forced into a defensive decision because they're already set.
' our right edge is non - existent ' bahaha isnt that where MAUBS plays hahahaha

Bring on Penrith. Finally we get to play a decent side. Can’t wait to see what we have to offer when we aren’t being complacent.

At the moment we have beaten 2 top 8 teams and lost to 4 of them, Yet to play panthers and storm. Were we complacent in all those losses?

Maybe it’s as good as it gets.

We probably were thinking we could beat the warriors, saints, Souths and broncos. Going into the riff match, I’m sure that we (players) won’t be thinking it’s just a matter of turning up. It might be the right approach.

Penrith have played 3 top 8 teams this year: Sharks, Dragons and Bunnies and are 2/1. They played the bottom 3 teams twice each this year plus they’ve played Titans and Knights. Penrith haven’t proven anything yet.

We need more variety. Patterns to play by. Thurston was the best it. Short ball, inside ball, run, cutout, dummy, kick.

Plus a straight runner in the centres, instead of towards the sidelines with that out the back style play. Keep defences from sliding. Aubo was always good at running against the grain. Manu has shown before this style of play is within his game. Probably needs more depth and width.

But yeah, the spread out wide can be slow with the hooker to half.

Still think we are going alright. Improving our combinations
                          ..it’ll be interesting to see

We need to line out at an angle so the player receiving the ball has more time to sidestep or give a good and not a panic pass. It doesn't always have to be the first receiver that gets the ball at a play the ball, let the first receiver do a dummy run and give the ball to someone coming from a deeper position , that would give us more alternatives in attack.

I think this is a problem at the moment.
