  • Damien Cook

He was highly impressive last night. Did not look like it was his first origin game at all. Looked dangerous every time he came out of dummy half. And showed heaps of heart when he copped a knee to the stomach, dropped and got back up and played on after a few sets.. He will be Australia's new hooker and his competition isnt even close attacking wise

WHEN IS HE OFF CONTRACT AT THE BUNNIES? LOL. He would look better in a Roosters jersey.

Freak. Doesnt get tired and rarely takes the wrong option. If this form continues his next contract will be up around 800k per season

Whatever Friend is on, throw that at him + an extra 100k + TPAs

Cook is off contract at the end of next year.. Too bad we have Friend signed until the end of 2020

puts to bed the ridiculous excuse thrown up by some on this site for friend that friend does a lot of tackling and hence doesn't have much energy for attack. This may be a news flash but friend has basically no attacking capabilities in him, he never did and never will. We need a hooker who can offer something in attack (and of course be able to provide a decent pass which friend fails often) as well as be a decent defender.

It's got more to do with not giving up the bungers.

Cook was pretty good at beach sprints apparently as a young fellow . He is deadly with a one man marker defence or if he sees a defender turn his back and explodes from dummy half.
I could never understand Hasler not using him at the dogs or Madge's reluctance to play him before Farah.

Should be Cameron Smith's replacement in the No. 9.

Nope it doesn’t put it to bed and it’s not an excuse it’s just a fact. Cook is a one of a kind freak who can do both the defence and attack like that. Of course every club is going to want a Cook in their side but they won’t get one.

Lucky for Cook. He will be on some huge coin pretty soon if he can keep doing it.
