IMO Teddy has played no where near that standard of footy at the Roosters so far.
Its funny how people go on about how it takes time to get combinations happening with the spine players yet a team can be picked only train 6 to 7 times together & blitz it.

You make a good point Mickey re the training all week for weeks on end, and then in SOO a few sessions and the team plays together with minimal errors etc. Biggest difference is Teddy has excelled at this level and it's a very different game. Every player is quality and because of that, the opposition have to spread the defence across the park. You can't afford to just target two or three gun players as in club football.
Their skill level is consistently higher and one weak spot will be taken advantage of. Teddy did his job and more. The same guy won the Players Player Award for 2017, probably the most respected accolade in the NRL. Even on his Roosters form he has been out performing all of the other fullbacks this season.
The difference is his Roosters teammates are prone to errors and he doesn't have anywhere near the quality of setup and support that he enjoys at SOO level. Fittler did a superb job prepping his new team. He's shown the same with his City sides. Just has to keep it up now.

It's not that funny if you have a smart coach who plays to the teams strengths. If you have a dumb coach who believes in No offloads and your most dangerous players thrive on offloads then yeah it doesn't work.
