Haven't watched the replay but both were tries, however Reynolds try was a clear obstruction. The rules were made black and white a few years ago that you could not dive through the player playing the ball. Matulino played the ball, took half a step to the left where Reynolds dived through. It was a clear obstruction and should have been a penalty, however with the Tigers 8 points behind with 5 minutes to go, they were always going to give it. Remember one of the NRL's KPI's is a close victory margin, they trumpeted last year how the average margin of victory was only 6 points, no doubt they see it important to narrow this even more in 2019.

The NRL like to brag that the number of close margin games is proof the salary cap is working to level out the competition.

I cant get free to air where I am (without spending a fortune) so I'm stuck with fox. From what I hear the 9 commentators are no better anyway. The tigers game was always gonna be one where we know Roach has self-interest, but Vossy was pretty excited when we scored.

Same here. My ch 9 reception is poor at the best of times so no real choice but Fox unprofessionalism. A disgrace the way they call games.

What years did you play for the Mighty Campbelltown Ghosts- I played from juniors right up to grade till 1995 ?? A lot changed as we changed names from Campbelltown Ghosts to the Macarthur Colts late in my career around 1993 or 4- remember Auburn Orioles and playing at their ground at Auburn - they are now merged with the Macarthur Colts to become Macarthur Orioles.

Their club at Auburn no longer exists - don't know about their ground at Auburn if it still does exist- Also played Winter league Baseball in the Illawarra for the mighty Dapto Chiefs - used to see Kevin "Horrie" Hastings at the Dapto Leagues club a fair bit too as he was Player coach and coach of Dapto in group 7 - Fitzy's(Craig Fitzgibbon) Dad too as he was a director of the Dapto leagues club.

I played in Illawarra for the Pirates and went up to play for the ghosts in the summer from about 86 to 91 or 92. I moved out to the country in 93. There were quite a few guys that came up from the gong to play for the Ghosts, they were great times

When you get a chance watch the next game Warren Smith commentates, even if it is or not a Roosters game. Guarantee he can name a stat of any player who is playing in that game about his performance against the Roosters.

He always uses that term 'Against the Roosters".

Haven't noticed that yet, probably because my brain tunes out all the crap he goes on about during a call. He doesn't commentate, he uses the broadcast to opinionate.
He should be back in the stands with his tigers scarf wrapped around his mouth.

I think you’ll find Warren Smith is a West’s magpies supporter not tigers. I don’t find him as irritating as Roach and Matt Nable..
