  • No sin bin for shoulder charge to head in Eels v Knights game?

So I just saw a Parra player shoulder charge a Knights player flush in the head and he rightly gets put on report. Yet no sin bin. Why does my mind take me back to the sin binning of Napa in the Broncos game?

I said the same thing. Where are all the fans now who said contact with the head albeit careless should be dealt with. Deliberate shoulder charge... contacted with head

If we had consistancy, and black and white rules........................the nrl would lose the ability to engineer results.

Yeah, was annoyed at this as well. You would think he will probably get a rest for a few weeks though.

Rightly or wrongly, napa was sent due to the injury sustained by sims.

Is that the rule? If the player is injured it's a sin bin? If so, who assesses the injury before the sin binning? The ref? The Broncos' trainer? (Obviously, it was "wrongly" because Napa had no case to answer - other than Greenberg's public call for punishment - but is that the rule?)

I don't believe it is the rule, however I think they consider it at the judiciary. Since sims was clearly effected by a serious injury he was sent. If the shoe was on the other foot every roosters fan would be baying for sims blood and booing Sutton and his roosters prejudice for not sending him off. The call was probably the wrong one. But it didn't cost us the game.

I didn’t see the incident but heard on the radio that the Knights player was forced from the field by the hit and didn’t return. Kind of puts that theory to bed.

Again with people assuming all Roosters fans are hypocrits.
Crap Bigchook, it's a friggen contact sport and accidents happen...................all teams get injuries.
Anyone baying for blood over what Napa did, even if Napa played for souffs , should stick to watching touch football or chess.

I agree with the second part. And not all. Roosters fans are hypocrites.. Just the ones on the pen! It's the same as people saying James Graham should have been sent for leading with the head in the grand final against south's. He broke burgess cheek bone and wasn't sent. People argued about it. But if south's had of lost that's all we would have heard.

I'm just missing rugby league, and get a bit impatient with the people who seem to be outraged over everything. Anyone can see that the Napa tackle was just bad luck. If it happened to one of our players we'd have to cop it sweet.
But..............there's no way a bronco pty ltd player would've been binned for that. Bloody game managers.

Yes . Rugby League is a funny game..

Both incidents were careless/reckless contact with the head...

Napa got sin-binned and no suspension..

Moroea didn't get binned but will be spending a few weeks suspended..

Aargh - It is a funny game..
