Tedesco is struggling on both fronts - poor tonight one has to say - seems to be always waiting for Cronk and Keary to produce something for him and not able to do this on his own - Gussy was right about him - an old fashioned fullback when one needs to be not only a fullback but a fullback with 5/8/Halfback skills as a ball player too in attack.

You might be one of those expecting Tedesco and Cronk to deliver a premiership in 2018 - you all will be sadly mistaken - be lucky to make the 8 - could not beat a Bronco`s team with 6 players out tonight - mostly internationals too
Sorry do you have some problem? If so I apologise but not everything Phil Gould says is Gospel!

Tedesco is not an old fashioned fullback whatever that is. He creates things out of nothing and is not waiting for anyone to create something.
He gets better every week. He has played 11 games and he will play over 100 games for the Roosters and be a club legend.
Cronk is not getting better and he is getting older.

Michael Gordon please some of the things you say are hilarious.

Obviously you haven't a clue what your saying - 11 games and a would be club legend - spare me please - Old fashioned fullback relying on others to make things happen - Fullbacks nowadays have to have the skills of halves as well which is something Tedesco lacks - not great at all of setting up others once he makes a break for instance and well his support play has gone down hill ever since he spilt the ball in a try scoring move against the Tigers in game one- playing without confidence for sure ever since and makes way too many errors- leading the NRL in errors by the way.

Not quite sure what you mean about Cronk as I have said countless times playing on old legs and would have been best to retire one has to say.

Gordon did more even at this stage than Tedeso has in is stint at the Chooks - Gordo won the Chooks plenty of games too something Tedesco is yet to do.

Wake up and start seeing reality - mistakes have been made by the board led by Uncle Nick and they need to be accountable for this.

Now you would think a man who took the club from the doldrums to a financial success would have some recognition from the club.....an award, a plaque....something anything. Facts are after the licencing court went thru the place he was busted and he didnt fight it . He got booted and no one has mentioned his name since....besides you and that obituary.
Cannot stop people leaving or forcing players to come to the club as it wasn't the Soviet Union/China/Cuba- what rubbish from Sharks/Wests he signed - I recall they signed the NZ international Sorenson Brothers/ Tom Arber/ John Ferguson for instance- The players revolted against Freier when they should have made the finals that year - players cost the club a finals spot not the coach.

No Ron Jones no Easts League Club or Football club - that is a fact - would have been bankrupt and gone forever. Shame on Easts in not recognising the great man one has to say- did any time - no - licencing court or whoever you mean were not what you would call an honest organisation- liked to get paid and freebees after hours the same as local cops/detectives etc.

You would not believe how much underhanded stuff went on and still does in that industry- cops/detectives/food and health inspectors would turn up at local eateries including macca's/kfc/pizza hut etc and get freebie meals etc as they did at licences clubs as well - why was that you think.

My Father was vice president of a local RSL club - cops etc would turn up just before closing time and get meals /grog etc for free- happened on a daily basis

If that happened in Italy for instance these folk would be called the mob (Mafia).

Two great Roosters men - Ron Jones and Big Artie Beetson

How about you try Mark Beaven, Brett Gale, Alan Neil, David Greene, Steve Hardy, Rowland Beckett.....as well as Stuart Davis, Peter Grounds, Shane McKellar, Tim Barnes, Col Dreier . These were the muppets Jones signed to replace Noel Cleal, Kerry Boustead, Paul McCabe, Ian Schubert,Marty Gurr, Ian Barclay....and eventually watched the likes of Ron Gibbs, Paul Dunn and John Ferguson leave. He also signed Laurie Freier to replace Bob Fulton....unbelievable . Hence the Roosters were referred to as the "transit lounge" with the b grade player turnovers

Im not sure how to respond to your claim that the independent licensing court was corrupt. They did the financials, that was it. It had to be outsourced and independent. It wasnt in their interest, nor anyones, to have Jones framed or come out of it looking bad. When he was presented with the evidence he was cornered and along with a couple of his mates they "chose to walk". Whatever he did for the club in the past didnt give him the right to steal from it in the future.

Its all ill say on it because i have trouble following your logic and you go off on weird tangents. RSL club, cops getting free meals ,mafia, Michael Gordon better than Tedesco, East Campbelltown Cats,.....while its slightly amusing im concerned that im trying to make sense out of someone who could be somewhere between retarded and a blowarse.

Hey Salvo you forgot Jones sold Easts assets for about 60% less than what they were worth.Figure it out.
Nick gets it right Nick gets it wrong ..big ****en deal he is here out of passion for the club.
              Same for most clubs.
At least with him at the helm ..we survive and live for another day at least with Nick we are competing. If The going gets tough the tough gets going -thats Nick.
Brisbane loss has set your fire crackers off.
That was all reffing backfoot whole game we werent allowed to play .
You want Nick to step down? and who will run this place?and bring all the corporates in? ....Ron Jones Jr?
              .
When Nick is gone we are farked.

You forgot about the big money deals for Paul Mares and Mick Delroy, I remember reading in Sterlo's book that the Parramatta players were gobsmacked when they learned what we paid for them. Then we had big Artie going to Jones in the mid 80's and saying he could get us Gary Belcher and Peter Jackson, but Ron knew better and signed the muppets mentioned above. He may have done some great things for the club, but gee he left the place in disarray when he was moved on.

What the team needed was another front rower and centre and not two overpriced players who have contributed little in 11 rounds - Chooks 6 and 5 tonight after another embarrassing loss.

As the team needs new blood and maybe new coaches so does the Administration- I think for the club to go forward and advance you (Uncle Nick) need to stepdown at least by the end of the 2018 season.

The season is not turning out the way many especially on here were thinking and I am sure the board too - so the time has come like for many clubs to make the changes needed to have the club back in premiership contention again and not ruin this chance by moving on players who can deliver this by the whim of administrators- no matter how great these administrators have been to the club over their tenure.

Same old tiresome agenda driven bullshit.

You should go back to pretending you're 'in the know' - at least that's funny.

Yep on Peter Jackson, the story was Ron sent his son to watch him play in the Brisbane competition Grand Final, he apparently didn't have a great game and his son came back and said 'no good, don't sign him'. However you left out the best ones. Laurie Daley was a mad Roosters fan and Kevin Hastings was his hero. He or his parents, can't remember who contacted the club when he was about 15 or 16 and wanted to come up and trial. He was told he was too young and promptly signed with the Raiders. Likewise Brett Mullins was told to wait another year and we can sign you, he also signed with Canberra.

Ron Jones did everything possible, intentionally or otherwise to send this club to the toilet, without Uncle Nick stepping in, we would just be pages in a history book.

Jackson was a cockhead. When I was on the door at studebakers in the cross he was a constant smartarse to us. Especially when it was time to leave at the end of the night. All the bears players were always apologising for his behaviour. Looking back he was a cockhead for a reason but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t a cockhead.
