State of Origin - How many and which Roosters do we stand to lose?

i know it’s a cash grab but in my view it interferes too much with the season proper for my liking. The NRL is all about the season proper as far as I’m concerned.

I also hope today’s game was us playing for the club and not SOO selection but I remember around this time some of our players suddenly had stellar games.

Anyway just how many and who do we stand to lose to SOO? We could lose quite a few. Cordner and Napa and what about Mitchell, Tedesco, Keary?

And just what effect is this going to have on our quest for the premiership?

The change in scheduling this year will limit the effect on the clubs premiership ambitions. The plus/minus the players get from playing is negligible.

Only one game in the lead up to Origin 1 which is the Tigers.
Each team gets a bye and the second Origin is on a Sunday where there is only a week camp.
Where it can hurt is the short turn around after each game. Game 1 we play Newcastle on Sat 530 and Game 3 but we play the Titans on a Sunday 6pm

Hard to say as I think the following players will be in contention for positions for NSW - some may be considered for multiple positions- Gus said Latrell is a cert for the centre - left centre and be a shock half combo?- Brooks is the form NSW half back in contention and deserves a go in game one I say.

FB from - Tedesco/ T Turbo

Wing from - Addo- Carr ( a cert) / Fergo/ Cotric/Dugan

Centres from - Roberts/ Aiken/ Latrell/ Dugan/Bird

5/8 from - Maloney/Bird

Half from - Maloney/Moses/ Brooks/Townsend/ Cleary (if back in time and play some games)

Lock from - De Belin/ J Turbo/ Jackson/Merrin

Second row from - Cords/ Frizell/ Sims/Jackson/Finucane/Bird

Hooker - McIness /Cook

Front row from - Woods/ Klemmer/ Campbell-Gillard/ Vaughan

Based on the above if I was a selector the team would be

FB - Tedesco

Wing- Addo - Carr and Fergo

Centres- Latrell and Aiken

Half - Brooks

Lock - De Belin

Second row - Cords and Frizell

Hooker - Cook

Front row - Woods and Klemmer

So 4 Roosters in the NSW SOO side - Don't know if Nappa has done enough to be picked for QLD though to make it 5 missing

We might have about 5 players out. Hope Origin sparks their firm and doesn’t burn them out or we sustain injuries.
