Our forwards looked pretty good against the dragqueens.

As I have said many times, it is impossible to maintain peak strength and fitness for the entire season. Genuine contenders will start their forwards less fit and target peak during the finals. Some of you have gone off too soon.

A reverse Schubert, as long as it makes Bozo feel bad, I'm all for it.

Last season at Brookvale Winterstein ran over Manu like he was a cardboard cut out.

I'd be wanting corroborating evidence that he's on the market before I contribute to this thread. Whoops.

I cant see them trying to offload him as he is one of their better players.
The only reason would be because of their salary cap dramas. Are the Tigers paying any of his contract, not sure if he left while still signed to them. I think I read somewhere last season or during the offseason, he signed an extension to 2020/21

I agree, we definately matched em and had a lot of chances to win the game. But our attack was horrible

The people who still talk up Napa more the fan boys who love the fact that once every 5 games he pulls off a big hit.
You are very skepticle of other penners, referring to them as crackpots/fanboys etc. why so?

100% it is the coach telling them not to offload for fear of a handling error. But, he is not cleaver enough to realise that by continually telling not to drop the ball..we end up dropping the ball.

                    Exactly.

Listening to Mini talk on Roosters Radio last week, he suggested that the number 1 focus is (and has been) to get completions up at the 70-75% mark, forcing opposition to make the same (or more) tackles than us over 80 mins; thus allowing our attack to do the rest.

But similar to what you say in your post, the extreme focus on the above at the expense of “playing footy”, working on combos and getting our timing right is having the opposite effect.

                      And he offloads!

There would be games where Taupau offloads more than we do as a team.

You'd have to wonder what our team does at training for all those hours and days.

Yeah I do. It’s really astounding that we’re 9 rounds in - plus friendlies - and we still need to focus on the basics.

This is what confuses me,they’re practicing drills all week and honing skills and continuity..
Yet when it comes to game day they look like they’ve never played together..
This is the reason I’m worried this year and feel the continuous “we need to gel” card has been overused and is just an excuse..
I guess we’ll find out come September
