Rather than address that people are more than happy to point the finger elsewhere to deflect.
You say it's a positive change, I disagree. If you thought we needed a change then we should have gone out and bought a young million dollar halfback who we could build the next decade around. Ashley Taylor or Nathan Cleary, now that would've been positive.
Now we're stuck with an ageing halfback who seems to be struggling to keep up with the pace of the game. Even if we do manage to click with him at halfback we get what a season and a bit out of him before he retires and we have to go through the same process again.

We took a gamble with Cronk. It isn't working out. BUT we would be worse without Cronk, and be stuck with Pearce with everyone calling for his head. At least now we recognise the issue is our style of play not the team. Also team selection is stupid. Why is Tetevano ahead of SST. Why is Robbo acting like a logistics manager sticking with a rigid game plan ensuring everyone sticks to their minutes rather than adapting to the game flow? There can be no excuse for having Radley on less than Friend.

Cmon, you know as well as everyone else, this signing was about the future guys coming through, Lam and a OSullivan are the real deal, they need a mentor and role model on and off the field, if your a parent with a decision to make like play and train in and around Cronk, his professionalism or learn how to party with Pearce, what do you decide, I have doubt the club has a succession plan in place
Cronk was bought to win us a premiership because there was a train of thought that Pearce couldn't lead us to our next one.
Plain and simple.

I read that Robbo could never drop Friend because of Politis' love of Friend. Could this actually be true?????????
I don't think so as Robbo defends him time and time again. Even says he's been mom in some of our games this year.
I'll say it again. Something is not right at Spring Street, Bondi Junction..................Roosters For Ever

And it camouflages the real issue. This side does not look like one enjoying the game. The Roosters attack is so predictable. The problem a lack of.tactics and imagination Blind Freddy can see that. In fact the real Freddy, Phil Gould and Andrew Johns all do see that and say as much. It lies with the coaching. When I look at the Roosters 2018 I see effort but little enjoyment in the stilted play. I see tries through individual skills, not well executed moves. Last years final against the Cowboys was devoid of creative ideas. I don't want to labour the point but the scrum base try that Cronulla put on against the Storm in the 2016 grand final would never have been a Roosters try.
Watching Teddy out there today was painful. Here was a fullback wanting involvement who couldn't buy a good ball from his forwards, apart from a JWH offload. It's why we never see Keary run through the centre but instead run wide and now crowd Mitchell out of room. Souths exposed our lateral play and no look passes and the Bulldogs followed suit. Three games later against St George we are still playing the same old moves. How much easier do we have to make it for other coaches. We have great attacking talent and no attack. And it's up to the coaching to remedy that. Simple.Last edited by Louis N; 04-25-2018, 08:23 PM.

Cronk was available and IMO we felt he was a better role model for the next generation. It is not very common that you get to sign a player with a decade of experience as Australias halfback. Once in a generation, if that. Also Pearce is out for 16 weeks with a pec injury, so I am glad he isnt with us in the given circumstances.
Lets be frank, Joey warned pre-season that we werent yet ready, but will be amazing when we are. Something is currently broken and I am not knowledgable enough about footy to pin point it.
Today we played the (current) best team in the comp and all things considered didnt do too badly (although I will confess I watched The Avengers instead becauss I knew we would lose and am jack of all the military/royal coverage at the moment).Last edited by ism22; 04-25-2018, 09:03 PM.
