    if carney does get sacked, and we do not get quade cooper like some reports have suggested, i think cronk would be n amazing signing.. of contract at the end of next year, this guy knows how the steer a team around the field.. if the likes of anasta and mini retire at the end of next year, plus the new tv deal, we should be able to make him a significant offer..

      Mate he'll never leave Melbourne. You've gotta remember any increased money that we get from TV deals, the Storm will get as well. They will be able to offer him just a much as anyone else.

      Then there is the obvious question..........why would he come here?

        Pump is spot on, he is established, why would he leave a team with the likes of slater and Smith ! The storm side is built around these 3, other players (and rules/Salary caps) will be expendable to keep these 3 together.

            yeah i agree mate, the only reason i am hoping is if we offer more. melbourne consider him as one of of their 'big 3', and would do anything to keep him.. maybe a new challange? if anything i think he would join an expansion team in queensland if he wants to go home etc
