  • Was Radley on report?

    No charge?
i thought it was a good tackle , the warriors player ducked into it.

ive been impressed with Radley so far
i like the way he plays.

He was placed on report, but there was no charge. I found it funny that on the NRL Instagram they are touting a hit from the Sea Eagles game as the 'HIT OF THE ROUND' where in a similar fashion, the arm bounces up of the shoulder and makes contact with the head. Play was subsequently allowed to continue.

Mirroring your statements, I absolutely LOVE it when I see that Number 17 hit the field. He runs hard and his defence is brutal... totally punching above his weight, there are times he gets caught out (the Morris try vs the Bulldogs) but that will come with experience. You know Robbo see's it as well and rewards the young bloke with time on the field. Not sure where he has been playing him the last two games (second row, lock maybe) but he is really versatile... runs like a bullet, tackles like a 2016 vs the Bunnies Napa and is a solid dummy half.

I think his size helps him, he doesn't look that big so people have no problem running at him... and they get ended. Thats Napa's problem, they run away from the ginger. We should get all the players to dye their head red and grow ranga beards... the opposition won't know where Napa is until its too late. ****er could play wing and origami some ****s.

He has made his fair share of mistakes but he isn't afraid to rip in and make big tackles.

Just hope he doesn't become a robot like the rest of our forwards.

The guys a gun. In an age where the NRL is filled with athletes over footballers, I'm a buyer!
Wasn't sure before but rewatched last weeks game and he was a standout in trying to inspire us to get back into the contest.
Lookin forward to seeing his progress this season and break some games open for us.
        ..it’ll be interesting to see

How old is he 20? Reminds me of Josh Reynolds, he comes on and looks to lift the team. I want more Rads type players in my team. Can he play wing?

The last young 'smaller in statue' forward for us, with a fearless attitude and great tackling technique was Gilmiester(spelling?) . He became the new 'axe'. Bumping into him some years ago, could not believe how tiny he was compared to the current day 185cm plus and over 110kgs. Legend

Players like Reynolds are rare & are very popular amongst the players & fans. VR certainly looks the goods to me so I just hope things work out for him & he plays top footy for his whole career at the Chooks.

I always found it annoying that they tagged Gilly in the press as the axe - in my opinion there was only one true AXE being the local Paddo boy - Bunny Reilly. I don’t seem to recall the press calling Bunny the axe as I think it was more of a in-house thing and also with the fans. I hope Vic Radley becomes a long term player at Easts just like Bunny and local Luke Ricketson.

Thanks Skeez - yes Bunny was terrific. He was a brilliant tackler and terrific with up ending opposing forwards. His running style unique and the best with his pommy way of playing the ball. I’ve many fond memories one being his cameo appearance in the 75 gf when he ran out on one leg. The Paddo end of the ground went nuts. The other was at Arties tribute at the SCG and having a chat out in the middle of the hallowed turf.
