Big Jack Gibson often did say that talent is secondary to whether players are confident /that there is nothing in a coaches contract saying he has to be sane or a good loser and In football, if you are standing still , your going backwards fast.

I can see where you're coming from, but I think this is a case of stats not telling the real story.
As far back as I can remember, there's always been different factors involved in our coaches demise.
There's no way we could compare a coach like Robbo to Freier, Fairfax, Anderson, Fittler, and others.
Ricky Stuart got a fair run.
Mark Murray had to go, like his name-sake, but for different reasons.
Jack Gibson refused to coach at any club beyond a certain period.
Beetson was a fill in.
Fulton..........................the less said the better.

I think, like a lot of other things, we have an unfair reputation in this department.

I think any coach sticking around for 6+ seasons is a rarity, regardless of club.

Personally I'd give Robbo at least until the end of his current contract (I believe end of 2019) to turn things around, and even then I can't really think of a coach in the league I'd rather have outside of Bellamy. I just know that historically both easts has not been one to put up with underachievement, so we'll want to right the ship quickly to stop any rash decisions being made.

With our bogie teams of Sharks and Souths over next 2 weeks, we are 2 losses away from a real crisis. If we lose, real questions will be asked about who the new coach will be, new hooker, more competitive forwards etc.

I dont think Robbo will get another contract with us after 2019, unless we make / win a grand final in either 2018 / 19. Anything less will be seen as a failure with this roster.

No but I’d enjoy watching many wins. Can’t complain too much about Robbo. In his tenure we have probably won more games than any other club.

Bellamy gets way too much credit for melbournes success. The nrl themselves have helped Bellamy achieve his amazing coaching stats. Other teams simply don't get away with the tactics he employs.
