Pearce is a very good first grade half, but Cronk an exceptional representative half. Give our current halves another 4-6 weeks together, sit back and watch the magic happen. I'm more worried about the consistency of our forwards.

in all honesty i feel its a shame pearce didnt stay, hes a very good fg half , and maybe under cronk he could have really become elite, the origin seriesbar game 2 last year are not his fault, hell continue to be a good half at newcastle but prob wont make that next step , bit of a shame considering hes a good runner, defender and with a tweak or 2 a very good kicker

I wont repeat LNs point, but there's nothing anyone can do to guarentee a premiership.
It is very simple.
Cronk wanted to move to Sydney, and he is a far superior player to Pearce. Our club would've been negligent not to persue this chance.
Premiership or not...............we are better off.

Ever since 2014, when we saw some epic collapses after leading by plenty, I have been on edge during our games, a sense of impending doom.
Since Cooper came to the club I am getting less of it.
I even cracked a beer just before halftime on Sunday, and I haven't been able to relax enough during games to do that for 3 and a bit years.
I no longer worry about our ship hitting an iceberg as I trust the person steering it.
