    My thoughts exactly!

But regardless of who is reporting it and how much I hate the TeleCRAP and all it stands for, I still feel absolutely gutted by the lack of respect these 3 have shown for their team mates and the club.

He has been a train wreck since the moment we got him. So much has been covered up & swept away but now the time has come to cut out the cancer.

**** duty of care, he is a grown man who needs to have a massive reality check. He must be sacked. Myles must be sacked.

If they do nothing again I'll seriously question my support for the club.

As I said on another thread - gutted is an appropriate response. Overjoyed is not, hence my problem with the trolls on this forum.

Rather than blaming the telegraph, have we questioned the timing of implementing a self-imposed drinking ban.

I am not sure that anyone believes the players should not be able to go and drink and enjoy a night out.

But, if they have all made an agreement not to drink then it is a big "fark you" if they do.

Personally, I just feel it was ridiculous to even consider an alcohol ban at this time of the year.

Those talking about Manly - If Manly were at the bottom of the ladder and imposed a drinking ban on the team and Stewart and Watmough were out on the tiles, it would be front page news also.

I am sick of the "woe to be Easts" mentality here - "Everyone is out to get us" - The telgraph, the referees..boohoo...

It is front page of the SMH as well.

You idiot Teabags, jumping to conclusions again, been on the drink again, or just inhaling the fumes from your work mates.

The Telegraph is not to blame for this incident, what I was saying and I will type slowly just for you, I see as a very big problem (that extends beyond RL and sport) that the media decides that the public want to read crap that is either not worthy of print, not anyone's business or just hypcritical selective reporting.
In this example does any sane (or sober) person think that this is really headline news ? I would expect not, but again the single digit IQ brigade at the Tele have decided to sensationalise this rubbish.

Do I think its good that they did this, of course not, but because I sit at a desk with out the red nose and slurred speech I can see that the selective reporting of this incidents shows nothing more than an immaturity that I really expect from your organisation.

We all know there is something wrong at the club, but the incident that occurred is occurring at many clubs. Do I hear you fools reporting about someone like Lockyer's escapades ? I think not.

If you keep trying to defend yourself and your mates you will dig that hole for yourself all the way to China.

Don't give them what they want. Take a leaf from Manly.
Earlier this year Whatnow did the same thing from memory. Out late pissed broke the clubs/players rules. I believe he even did weewee and drove drunk or did speeding again.

Point is Womanly looked after it in-house. They thumbed their noses at Rothchild and co. Like they did to Gallop and Stewarts giddyup fun.

Why don't we do that ever???

Why do we always react to the medias social pages???

That's my real gripe with Easts, we need to stop being so farking nice. If we used all the medias agendas as a fire up tool, the old us against them mentality, I'm sure it would only benefit the club in general. It's worked for QLD, Melba and Womanly among others for years.

                  The FlogPen .

                  You know it makes sense.

How far have you gotten so far?

It is not the media to blame. It is Easts and Easts players. Sometimes we need to take off the glasses and have a real look.

It's not pretty, but it is there to be seen...

Carney has run out of chances. You can't let people treat you like that.

I'm gutted because he's an amazing player but a personal tragedy. But what do you do with someone like that?

                            Exactly!!
The argument isn't who reported it or whether having a beer is the wrong thing to do... The problem here is that our club and players are continually breaking promises to themselves and the fans!! I'll always support the Roosters but I've had enough of this rubbish! Unfortunately we need a huge clean out, I dont care if we struggle for the next 2 years as long as it means we dont have to put up with all this bullsh#t

I agree with that PTB what they did is beyond stupid and disrespectful.
My point was more aimed at the stupid pointless shit in RL and many other areas that the telecrap (and others) think that we are really interested in reading as well as the selective nature of their reporting.

See Stsaey's post re Whatmough, was it 90 or just 60 kms over the speed limit and a recurring offender, yet no screams to sack him
