While in a perfect world that would be great, if people see TC walk out of a pub at 2am, the perception will be that he has been drinking. While it may not be correct, it will be the information that is spread, from there regardless of the truth, the news gets back to the club and the club will have to investigate.

if the club decides nothing happened and take no action, then it will be deemed a cover up by the RL world and we will be called out for having lack of dicipline.

if they investigate and he was drinking, the club will be called out for having lack of dicipline.

It is a lose lose for the club.

I am reliably informed the telegraph has photos of the boys stumbling around at all hours. Apparently one of their snappers was out with mates, saw the guys and took the shots.

It'll be all over tomorrow's edition.

Not sure what the club's going to do but geez they'd be treading a fine line.

The cabbie who apparently dropped them at the cross was on air with us today...he claims FPN passed out in the back seat...and Carney was far from sober
or maybe he just fell asleep.. Happens at 2am quite a bit or so I am told.

I'd be the last person to bag the players but the cabbie seemed reputable. A lot of detail...FPN may have been asleep but given carney and Nate were apparently hammered, you'd think FPN was in the same boat.

It has to be asked. Does Carney genuinely still want to be here? Nate obviously doesn't and is already gone for next year.

If Carney is sacked, do the Club have to pay him out;or is it part of a contract clause- break the contract and you get zero? From where I stand he has used up all his chances (that is if what has been written is true).

The difference is Anasta has too much pride in the jumper he pulls on each week

Braith has done enough for the younger crew in the past.........somethings don't come out for the good of the club.

                      Let me get this straight.

The biggest story of the day involves a cab driver picking up three drunken men in their 20's.

                      FMD! That's newsworthy.

Bag the tele all you want...unfortunately it's newsworthy when a group of senior players defy club orders to go on a midweek bender. Especially when one has sworn off the drink, given countless opportunities by the club and promised to change!

It's the sad state of an empire crumbling...and it won't just be the telegraph splashing with this story tomorrow, the Herald will be all over it too

TeleCRAP doesn't care about Miles or FPNumb nuts.

I actually think it's a sad state of affairs when the media in this country find the story of 3 footballers breaking a self imposed alcohol ban news worthy.

                                So let's give them something to write about. Our response should be;

"Nate Myles and FPN have been suspended for the rest of the season and Todd Carney has been released from the club. 2011 has been a season we have faced many challenges in but here at the Sydney Roosters we are committed to our fans and our community. While the on the field results have not always been what we would have liked and we have had some issues off the field we have also done a lot in our local community (reference Steggles charity, our dementia support and thr countless other GOOD things we have done this season). We are terribly disappointed in Todd, Nate and Frank and they have ultimately paid the price for their poor judgement. We are committed to rebuilding the brand that is the Sydney Roosters are restoring pride in our beloved jersey and our steps today should reflect that goal".

                                Or something along those lines.
