Same here. Cronk did keep us in the game with a chance but our braindead idiots blew it. I think Cronk may be regretting moving to Sydney.

That would be the logic of this thread?

Pearce was the media hero by the skin of his teeth after giving the ball back to Manly so easily. Got sick of watching and hearing about our lack of game management last season.

Skin of his teeth, win by 40 or win by 1. His side still won and through 89 mins, HIS kick proved the difference. How many on here would be absolutely crucifying him had of the result gone the other way? He made some mistakes just almost every round one player does but he also proved he has plenty to offer his new club.

Having plenty to offer his new club is one thing but praying for him back over cronk is another.

He was 10 times better than what that Tedesco dished up tonight though.
Dont be so obstinate. He made the play that got his club 2, does anything else count? Not on the ladder anyway.

Bingo. It’s two more points than we have for the next week at least.

To say many players were unhappy about this is an understatement and well Robbo may still end up paying the price for this decision - Players are pretty loyal to each other and they ultimate decide the fate of the coach as you all know - i.e whether they stay or go via on field performances - I will be watching with interest as this further develops in season 2018.
Dont blame Robbo for Pearce being forced out.. the whole thing was done by Uncle Nick

                    all recruitment decisions are his

Robbo was happy for their to be no change at halfback & Pearce to be the halfback in 2018

                      I thought I was a bitter old dinosaur...................now I'm an ostrich??????

Ok, I have heard of this Pearce character, and am quite happy he plies his trade for newcastle, because we signed a superior half-back.
One game won't change that opinion.

The players will hardly revolt against Uncle Nick so the only one they can would be Robbo

Fair enough, it's the continuous vitriol that gets me biting.

Looking forward, based on todays Cronk performance, I'm neutral. That 40/20 was pure vision, but there was some rust and lack of cohesion in the rest of his game. To be expected.

                            A lot of shit insights.
The team is simply y undrrdone. Lack of trial time for all.
Disappointing to lose the unlosable but the winner was the much fitter side.
I would prefer the slow build up as opposed to been May premiers like Saints.
New half new plan.. Will come good but will take a few weeks
