Our back 3, especially the big wingers get our sets started upfield. Eases the pressure on the pack so much
Maybe it’s time for our forwards to ease the pressure on our wingers. Probably the most comfortable forward pack in the comp.

With only a few minutes to go there was no need for Gumby to go for an intercept or whatever else he had in mind other than mark-up and defend.

The club should invest $$$ on a quality sports psychologist to work on his confidence.

He still had enough time to go all in with a hard hit at his body to push him over the side line.

It's so easy for other teams to target Tupou, wouldn't you as an opposition coach, he's a guarantee to hand over possession in the danger zone every game through loose carry or staying upright and getting driven back.

Point I’m making is stupid errors. Just doesn’t learn or cut them out. I knew he’d be guilty of not ptb correctly. It’s in his DNA.

For those saying the winger cost us, Toupou finds ways to let teams back in whether it be a dropped ball, tackled into touch, dumb penalty. This is his domain. I just don’t know why it’s unable to be corrected. Drop him if it continues with instructions that he is loved but his stupidity isnt

In the past he was able to hide behind SKD's goof-ups .....not anymore.

Ok let’s spell it out for Toops or Robbo ........

                1. Oppositions know you leave your winger unmarked in defence and they play for it- every game with no exceptions. Being stuck inbetween your opposition centre and winger in no mans land leaves you open for a cut out pass or a kick over your head. If you do slide and come in defence then belt someone who is going to get the ball- if not just stay marking your opposite

                2. Oppositions know that they only have to touch you and you stop when trying to catch a attacking kick in the air. Keep your eye on the ball and go hard for it. If there’s a blocker make the ref make a decision by barreling him out the way. Stopping because there is someone in your way does nothing

                3. Oppositions know you don’t try and run thru the line when carrying the ball back from a kick. They know you twist in a tackle and try to flick a ball out the back. This is why your pretty much driven back in most of your ball carries. It’s also why you drop the ball in your own quarter at least once every game. Your not a ball player your a runner- run hard and make is straight not sideways

                4. Your hands on hips and dropped head makes you look like your wimp with no confidence. No winger is worried about marking you- in fact they look forward to it. Your 6’”ft 5 and 100 odd kgs- bloody use it and get the shiits- get aggresive and intimidate.

He deserves criticism after yesterday's performance.

That was a flashback to 2016.

Lethargic carries. Errors bringing the ball back. Letting in simple tries on his wing when all he needed to do was stay on his man.

We would not be doing our job as armchair critics if we didn't bag him for yesterday's p!ss poor performance.

He missed what shoulda been an easy tackle and it ultimately cost us the game. Point taken.

However, we shoulda been up by more in the first place. Also, the head pass threw us all off due to the awkwardness of the situation.

The pass was aimed at the centre inside Thompson which is where Tupou was in the defensive line. If the ball doesn't hit the players head he either makes the tackle or takes the intercept. It was just plain dumb luck that it hit the guy in the head, bounced 5 metres forward and straight into Thompson's hands.

Fergo was our best by far. But this place just ain't the same when he plays well.
Heaven help him if he makes an error next week, coz no-one is gonna remember this week

As evidenced by this thread after Daniel Tupou having a good 2017.

We'd probably have to shut this place down if the club ever ended up signing wingers who never made a mistake.

Lay off Tupou, his game wasn't bad. Why aren't you blaming Tedesco for spilling a sitter to score the first try? ...Huh???

plus, if he didn't do his groin against Manly, he would've scored and we probably make the GF.. but it didn't happen.

Wait til Latrell actually sees some ball, then Tupou finishes
                              ..it’ll be interesting to see

Cos the coach won't punt anyone from the pack back to reggies for a poor performance. Just an ex-prop feeling for the pigs
