    WTF was that.

A goal kick after brooks got binned? Bad bad decision .. Robbo?

It's the same shite, the same suspects, the same garbage.

Matto should have been the 5/8 - seems like I am harping on it but Cornish is an organising 7 with no running game - they had one two many 7 organisers on the field at the same time- No Guarantee Keary will be back next game as I did hear someone on the radio saying he is out indefinitely as a result of medical advice.

Sure its round 1 but also round 1 for the Tigers who looked sharper and more enthusiastic/committed than the Roosters did throughout the 80 minutes. - We had a side chock full of rep players too - does not show goods signs for the season ahead one has to say if this is the way they will be playing - All teams will be up for games against the Chookies and better teams than the Tigers will put us to the sword- I was wondering if Robbo is incorporating Hasler's game plan into his own as that is what it looked like.

Not sure what they're on about - don't think they do either?

it certainly looked like the plan was to keep it simple, not make errors and hope to grind the Tigers into the ground.

Not sure we are gonna get many better days weather wise to play some footy... off loads and shifts etc. Didn't even shift it once when we were up against 12!!! Was a strange game.

I'm a Robbo supporter, and don't think the problem is the game plan, it lies in the execution.
Robbos biggest problem is his blind loyalty to his captain and dummy half.

The game plan was the problem as if your going to play ultra safe footy with the ball with your main hope that the opposition implodes then you have serious problems - i.e 5 hit ups and kick on 5th and limited expansive play is not going to trouble any side or win you games - Any opposition NRL defence will be able to defend against it week in and week out - Robbo needs to move Fergo back to the centres with Manu back on the wing and needs to utilise both sides in attack and get the ball out wide as early as possible with Tedesco chiming into the backline like the good old days of Fullback play.

I didn't see much difference in Robbo's game plan compared to Hasler's and this is a worry as I suggest Hasler reverted to that game plan being under pressure for his job virtually every week - the same as Robbo is

Basically that we played well apart from the errors.

I thought so too, it's the most over used cliche in the competition but I thought it was worth noting that the apparent 'message from Robbo in the dressing room' at half time was to hold the ball. Whilst it might be the most over used cliche in Rugby League it's not something we've seen be a real focus of our teams and not something we've heard Robbo talk about it past seasons.

Because of that do we need to allow them more time to work through this new game plan?

New combinations are one thing, Keary seemed to seamlessly fit in last year. Round 1 against the Titans was as smooth of a debut as you'll ever see. But you can put that down to him coming in and fitting into a structure and game plan that was already well known & well rehearsed by the players around him.

The signing of Cronk as our primary playmaker and organiser signals a change in philosophy and that's surely something that will take far longer to develop. We've gone from being a team who played with a lot of flexibility in our ball movement and structure to a team who seemed very rigid in our structures & ball movement today.

1 game is far too small of a sample size to be demanding explanations of game plan IMO.

The majority on here wanted Cooper Cronk... now we need to show the patience in what we asked for. It's a huge changing of the guard. Clearly one we all probably underestimated.

                        Me to Edwardo.

I thought Ivan did well today. Kick out as often as possible slow slow slow well executed by Bunji and Jughead.

We were outplayed and out coached.

Lets hope that was a massive kick in the arse.

The problem was Cronk. He is very pedestrian and predictable. Just not a good fit for us.

Both teams played poorly, one just a little more than the other. Can't blame the lack of familiarity with the new players. Can't blame it being the first game of the year. I reckon that we will have a long stretch of victories, commencing next round, and everybody here will forget about the abysmal performance in round one. There is clearly something missing in the team and I hope that it is mainly Keary, but I think that it is more so the lack of a proper captain.

                              Long and winding road.

The key to all that is good service from dummy half.
