  • nothing will change in 2012 till we stop handicapping ourselfs

Mini/Anasta are simply not up to it, we are starting every match with 11 vs 13 if they are both still there round 1 2012 we will be fighting for the wooden spoon.

Todd Carney is very close to be considered in the same category, his groin is still clearly not right when he drifts accross the field he just can't step with any speed/power, he should be stood down immediately and his off season conditioning program should be started straight away.

I still have my doubts that Smith will be coach round 1 2012, something is clearly wrong behind the scenes and unfortunately another coaching cleanout is the only thing likely to get things heading in the right direction.

It is so simple, the difference between Manly and us.

In the Manly side, every single player in both attack and defence, approach the physical contest of contact with frightening intensity. Anyone who has played a game of rugby knows that there are certain blokes who give everything they've got in contact, and are bloody tough to bring down.

      Manly have seventeen of them.

      Us?

We have three players who approach contact in attack with intensity: Heargraves, Tasi and Masoe.

We have no players in defence who approach contact with intensity.

We tried hard, but were thoroughly outclassed by a hungrier, fitter and stronger football team.

B Freddy agree with your assessment of the Manly side, but you are underselling our side, Guerra also destroyed Matai when he trampled over him in the final minutes, was still getting attention while the kick was being taken.

Just before that, i said to a mate of mine that it wasn't a Manly game unless matai had an injury.....30 seconds later gurerra does the job !

Correct...and they had all the ball and every 'good decison' their way.

            We won last week. :-)

Gus said it best during the coverage today. After every game the players/ coach are talking errors and penalties being costly yet this never improves. The players are too thick to learn anything. We are the dumbest team in the NRL bar none.

                Bugger that.

It's about time we stopped making excuses, and started taking responsability for the shit we serve up, week in, week out.

When you play like Manly do, with that sort of intensity, you almost take the refereeing decisions out of the contest, you're that good (last week being the obvious, mind blowing exception).
