This is the problem with bringing these "kids" straight in from NYC they NEED to do there time at Newtown to learn their trade and toughen up to the weekly rigors of FG. Expectation and reality can be miles apart and FG is not the place to be testing theories.

Take a chill pill guys. This year is a complete right off. When the whole team are going crap, certain individuals are going to have rough days. Give the kid a chance..better to persevere with some of these young guys this year. They are going to make mistakes but they'll be better off for it.

Focus your attention on the seasoned campaigners like Mini and Anasta going through the motions and clearly not getting better any time soon. Mini is getting owned almost EVERY tackle.

How about Carney being a useless tatooed alco missing tackles and being generally less than useless this year?
How about SKD also STILL making elementary mistakes and not committing in defence?
How about Mini being WELL past it, error prone, ineffective, slow and adding nothing?

Sure T Carney needs to be coupled with a good tackler in the defensive line. At the dragons, its obvioulsy Beau scott. Has played int he backs and is a quality defender. Who would that be now at the roosters? Just highlights that apart from Myles, the best defensive forwards were missing yesterday - D Conn, FPN, Maubs and Boyd C. Taka, Guerra, Anasta are not noted defenders.

Why don't they do what the Wallabies do and defend with Carney at FB?

Mini defends at wing, Graham at Centre and BJ pushes in. I think BJ is less likely to get shown up the further in he goes.

The only real cost seems to be Mini's sweet sweet 48 metres of kick returns like yesterday which we can probably live with.
