What about the rest of the team? Pearce has and carney have been rubbish. The fowards are weak. SKD has no discipline (always throws a stupid pass or drops the ball it up if he doesn't score). Hey while we're trying to get Dugan why don't we just poach the whole Qld origin team? And as for Ryles.. He is only there to pump up his retirement cash.

I've only been reading this forum for the past fews days. I have to say those who are bagging Miniciello absolutely disgust me. To me he is one of the best fullbacks ever to play for the Roosters. There is nothing wrong with his form at present. He is one of the safest fullbacks in the game.. And as for his attack.. Well perhaps you should look at the players around him.

For those who are praising Duggan coming to the Roosters why don't you just go support canberra now. It's people like you who cause the disharmony in the Roosters. I'm sick of the fact that whenever a player is off contract they're always linked to the Roosters. Stop looking at other teams and who we can poach. Start showing support to the team you follow.

He was great but what we are seeing now is the worst fullback in my 30 years of watching and supporting the Roosters.. I have seen worse players play a few games here and there at Fullback but no one play a full season and play worse than he is now. Todd Riley and Wayne Portlock go close but they would maybe once every 6 weeks or so make a half break at least. The only thing Mini breaks now is supporters hearts.

Funny how some Mini haters are sooo passionate YET they don't mind Ryles sticking around for another year. They obviously have issues to deal with.

Ryles has the stats to back it up.. consistent metres and tackles every week.. I understand there are many people here like you who are fans of the team but don't understand the game in any way shape or form so i will go light on you.

Whilst I admire your support of the Count, you are very wrong in regards to your opinion of his current form. Yes he was a great rooster and as many on here believe he will always be considered a great guy, who was always first to sign an autograph. But he is way past it. He has always been a terrible defender, even in his golden boot days. When Ryles had the ball stripped today, Mini had the guy who stripped it in a bear hug........then guess what happened...he dropped off like he always does in defence. No he was not the only bad player out there, but he has been woeful most of the year and he is only ruining his fine reputation by continuing to try to play at this level.

Minichiello has dropped so bad since the start of the year. He began as adequate but now he is a massive liability. Even Wesser is stronger than him Mini loses metres for every hitup and Graham will too. Smiths gameplan of using the backs to make metres is absolute stupidity when we've got old man Mini and Phil in the back 5 and Leilua and SKD just drop the ball too much Perrett is the only one who can execute.

Ryle's performance today was the best performance for a front rower in our team in several years, that I can remember. I thought he was getting past it but I was wrong, If he puts his mind to it he has the ability to excel, as he did today. Guerra is just too talented a player to leave unsigned, sack anyone but keep him.

The only reason he got picked for NSW was Dugan was injured, Ricky Stuart didnt want to look like a hypocrite and put Jarrad Hayne back there after leaving him out the first game and Gidley not playing Fullback for Newcastle at the time.
His first preference was Brett Stewart if u recall but Des told Stuart he wasnt ready so last man standing was Mini.He had a great game 2, terrible game 3, to many good Fullbacks coming through these days just like Wesser there days are numbered.

Totally agree. Ryles was a stand-out in a badly beaten team. Shame he played so well on a day when the Roosters weren't in it. I thought all the Roosters forwards were pretty good and were let down by the very weak defence of the backs (wingers excepted).

They had his stats in paper today. 1 try assist and 4 tries for the season.

I would honestly say besides catching bombs he is the worse fullback in the league.

Honestly though yes everyone is entitled to there own opinion but how can anyone honestly, sit here and single out minichiello as being crap when the hole team bar maybe 1 or 2 is SHIT.. This is my biggest problem with you so called "roosters fans" because firstly I can name atleast 8 players that should be copping all the criticism before mini gets a mention... Age is just a number an that can be proven if anyone seen Newcastle vs Canberra today Adam macdougall carved Canberra to bits I can remember ppl saying he was past it years ago and petero each n every week proves that wrong.. But if every other player in the team was performing n the team was doing well then I'm sure we wouldn't be hearing this about mini..

Yes we are going crap this year and no one is really playing well, then u can look at effort and who is actually having a go, and I can tell u now mini is one of not many who each and every week is having a good hard go... And I can assure u if the forwards were getting forward n not getting dominated along with Pearce and carney not playing so one dimensional turning a forward back inside them to get dominated once again, then minichiello would be making more linebreaks and breaking tackles...

He is being UN fairly criticised in a major failing team, if the team was going well and ge was getting these opportunities then I could understand but, for him as a fullback to be able to do these things he's expected of, he needs others before him to be performing and it's just not happening..

Mini is a senior player in a key postion he is killing us.
