I don't see the joy as many on here do in Pearce leaving - he will most likely be going to Manly with Green being released - although the Sharks/Knights hold out hope in signing him- Many questions will be asked though if the team he goes too wins the comp (i.e likely Manly) and he plays a pivotal role in this- Roosters have really painted themselves into a corner in signing Cronk and one has to say both Cronk and especially coach Robbo will be under considerable pressure to deliver a premiership in 2018 for sure and certain. Robbo wont have any excuses and if no premiership in 2018 he will be exiting stage right too.

Dribble, Cronk was not just brought in too win the comp, he was brought in to mentor the young blokes, get some professionalism back into the club, something that other numbnuts could not do, The Lam boys both signing not long after Cronk was a sure sign, this is both a short and long term decision

I don't get it either.
Pretty poor form really and unnecessaarily vicious. .
I think the same people taking pleasure in Pearce's misfortune are the same people that will slam Cronk mercilessly if he fails to guide the team to a premiership. They are just crap folks IMO. Flogs if you will.
I'm not referring to people who made a fair case as to why they thought Pearce should go.
I'm referring to those who can't at least have basic respect for 10 years of club service and also those who are dancing on his grave.
It'll be interesting to see opinion around here when we are struggling to make the 8 next year.

Roosters play for premiership is their motto- not some sort of soviet era style 5 year or 10 year plan to win one- Cronk has been signed for this purpose as SBW was
Hope Pearce does well where ever he ends up, On Cronk I am only hoping he brings some good options with him to get us some good field position and some repeat set's.

Great post. The reaction of many on here has been vicious, given that we are talking about a player who has played in the RWB for over 10 years and has had far more good games than bad. You'd think it was their personal $800K that Pearce was being paid, and they had a right to expect nothing less than excellence in return.
Stormboy will feel the heat very quickly if he does not fire on all cylinders from day 1. And given Keary and Pearce were very close, I suspect Stormboy will start his new halves partnership on the back foot. He will earn his dollars that's for sure.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

That's flogshit you goober and I reckon you know it.
Same rhetoric when $BW arrived.
The ONLY reason we bring in a mercenary is to WIN baby.
And so it should be the case.
Professionalism comes from the head coqq down thru the board and the front office to the coaches and rubs off on the players.
IMO best thing to come from the ruthless way we have replaced Snitz with Cronk is EVERYONE is on notice again.
As it should be.
If we fail to win a comp in the next two seasons heads should and will roll.

Thats where Im at.
If they struggle to make the 8 next year then the whole team & coach should be punted. It's to good a side to not make the 8.
