  • Forward Depth.

Ain't as bad as some are making out.
A lot comes down to form I suppose.

But consider, JWH, Napa, Tetevano, Lui , SST and Collins, all can be used in a front fow rotation..........(hate myself for using the term rotation)

Backrowers? A couple of the above, plus Cords, Aubbo, Matterson, Radley and Smith.

Young blokes like Porter could always surprise as well.
I had high hopes for Farmer Silly as a bench prop, but he seems to be stuck under an over-turned tractor.
Naturally if Pearce buggers off we could possilbly add to the list, but as it stands, it ain't too bad at all.

No mention of Butcher. Probably wise as he is just too small to crack it in the NRL.

butcher is taller than radley, same height as SST. just needs to spend a lot of time in the gym. if he can i think he will provide good depth

SST looked very comfortable in the 10 for Tonga

I thought he kicked really well considering he was playing prop in 500 degree heat with 128% humidity.

I haven't formed an opinion on whether he's gonna make it or not.
His absense from my forward list is just down to my poor memory.

The thing is Butcher is the most talented one of the lot size or not .Hopefully he will make it.He is the kind of bloke players will follow if he makes his mark.

Apparently we've just signed a young queensland forward who will be a great prospect

That would be Geordie Brand, a 17 yo prop out of the Keebra Park system. He has dominated through the age ranks, but only time will tell if that is due to talent or simply advanced physical maturity.

There is no way that Butcher is the same height as SST. And I don't think hitting the gym is an issue cause Butcher is certainly not small in this regard.

Butcher needs 2 up the ante with his twitch muscles,

Much work required on his beep test come off season

He has most boxes ticked, I anticipate a transformation into next season

                            Backrow depth is just fine.

Front row depth is not there - Collins has promise but thats all, and Tetevano i'm not sold on. And thats putting aside the very real possibility that JWH's knee has compromised his effectiveness moving forward.

I'd like to see us chase a genuine big body. My pick for value for money and huge potential is Alex Walmsley. Uncle Nicko should ask Morley to get in his ear ASAP before some other NRL club grabs him. This guy will be huge, tipped to be the next Surgess:
