  • Now for Crichton

Get rid of Pearce and sign Angus Crichton, that would be gold.

Nah, we need 1 if not 2 big boys for the middle and depth

i reckon this is critical as is our wide edge defense on both sides

I reckon it's a no brainer, Crichton is a dead set gun, if we could get him it would be brilliant and it would cause a few souffs fans to jump off the gap.

Cant wait to see cronk take tedesco to the next level. He even remindes me of slater already. We just need our forwards to roll there sleeves up . I think cronk will demand it and recieve it from our pack

Works out perfectly. Either Friend or Pearce will succeed at No.9. One will fall and pay for Crichton.. The only thing which might derail this is SBW..

            I'd take Crighton over SBW.

Probably cheaper and we’d get him for longer

Crichton should have been (and possibly was for a short time) target NO.1 with a bullet together with a decent prop, but it's too late now Ray we've blown the wad on Cronk.

Fk do you seriously think someone is going to buy Pearce's whole contract Ray? You've got rocks in your head.

Even if we could put a competitive enough offer to Crichton now we'll lose others like Latrell, SST etc.

                It won't happen.

We do have a salary cap and on November 1st we have 12 or so players becoming free agents - some big ones too that will be wanting contract increases based on what other teams will be offering. - Could find ourselves losing players we want to keep - cap is what 9 or so mill? - if Cronk has signed for 1 mill that's approximately 1/9th of the Cap on one player

I don't think we are shopping Pearce around so if he wants to leave of his own accord I doubt the club has to pay any part of his contract. I am sure the Knights are happy to pay the whole lot.

need to fast track development of some of the highly rated lower graders in particular positions were have depth problems in - cannot keep on buying outside as what does this mean for those coming through the grades- limited chance or none to play NRL as a result.

I agree, we are in a risky situation and people must understand that.

Like i mentioned before, with all these players off contract (most of whom will be offered good money elsewhere) we are I believe flying too close to the wind with this one. What if Cooper goes down with a long term injury (likely given his age) together with the loss of other key players?

It's bizzare - mentally deficient even - to believe a premiership is a sure thing in 2018.

We'll need a bucketload of luck to get there.

Crichton still has another year on this contract. An important detail..

Agree but it’s not easy as last year showed. Forwards as backs, toups and Connor on the bench. Stop gap but fails against class.

PeeGee, we have been ignoring the lack of quality Prop rotation ( or the anointed ones haven't stepped up to the plate) for years now the LOD , MOA types to harden the middle are the missing parts to the puzzle.

Our Pack has been reputedly one of the best in the Comp but have been found wanting in crucial periods.

No half combination can deliver when dominance and forward momentum is being stymied.
