  • Cronk Will Sign Monday - Pearce, Friend, Nikorima to make way

Cooper has completed a medical test with us and reports say he will sign Monday.
It is likely at least one if not all three of Pearce, Friend, and Nikorima will make way not only clearing cap space this year but for next year as we look to re-sign key plays such as Cordner, Keary and Liu as well as make a strong push for Angus Crichton

Right and your source is? Why would we lose both Pearce and Friend?

Am I the only one wondering how it's possible the Aussie side would allow him to be in Sydney to discuss/address club matters the very day before the first World Cup match? I'm not sure but are they training in Sydney? Even so, that sort of business one day out from tournament kick off surely is a distraction they wouldn't condone!

More likely the Chooks have sent their club doctor down to Melb for the day to do any medical/testing. Cronk may have been in Sydney earlier in the week.

Mal will let Cronk do whatever he wants if it means he's available for Aus in 2018.

Thanks NC. I think I read it earlier this morning that he had visited the Roostets. Either the story was changed or I'm going mad. Probably the latter!

Yes you are...You're worrying about things that are of no concern other than Cronk and team.

                      > Cooper Cronk moved a step closer to resolving his future today when he successfully completed a medical test with the Sydney Roosters.

Mmmmkay so he's not training with the Kangaroos, he's with the Roosters doing negotiations? :P

                      Yeah, no.

                      > "He loves the Roosters and always wanted to be a one-club player.
                      >"Yet he feels that for everything the club has done for him, he deserves better for a player who has been there 10 years and played nearly 240 games."

TBH a bit like me recently. I'd been with the same mob for 7 years and wanted to stay for the rest of my career. I was performing fine (working above expectations the whole time) and had come a long way within the organisation... everybody liked me a lot. However, the time came. Within a VERY short period I got an offer elsewhere, packed up my desk and left. It happens and it isn't a sign of failure! Sometimes you just have a brighter future elsewhere.

As I said earlier, I though I had read that he had done this at the Roosters but I think I may have been mistaken.

That said, I still find it weird that it would be all happening while prepping for the World Cup opener the very next day.

I would be very surprised if the Roosters lose Pearce, Friend & Nicorima.
                              2 maybe not 3.
