  • Weidler reporting that Robbo has not received request from Pearce to be released

Weidler was on the radio this morning reporting he had personally talked to Robbo who had said Pearce or his management had not requested to be released.

so who the hell knows what the hell is going on.

below is a link to the Weidler interview on the grill team, starts at about 4 minutes.

No surprises there, although I doubt Robbo would tell Weidler anything of relevance.

There's no point in Mitch officially asking for a release until Cronk is signed, sealed and delivered to the Chooks. No point in burning bridges until you need to.

Nothing will happen unless Mitch asks for a release. the club won't pay to subsidise him playing for another club. I really doubt anyone coming up with the $750K or $800 that he is currently on, so maybe he will decide to stay rather than take a pay cut. At the moment his ego is hurting, but he might be able to swallow that with some good advice. I hope so. I would like him to stay as a lock or hooker, but not in the halves.... been there done that.

Interestingly, a guy I know with ties to the Bronco's reckons that Pearce is staying, Friend is the one going, they are going to release McCullough to sign him.
