  • Thankyou for all your effort for the last decade.

    Goodbye , farewell and amen.
    Like that line Hawkeye?

In my time of watching Easts week to week, I'd put you in a privileged postion in my order of things........
Definitly the 5th best regular halfback we've had in that period.
Huge on the all time game list.
Way in front of "important" statistics like .............how many metres the ball flew majestically flew through the air every time you closed your eyes and kicked.............
    NRL stats don't lie.

Thanks for being part of our.... team ... that actually won in 2013.

All of us have appreciated how hard you try.
    I'm sure of that.

Good luck with your next 200 games and your new position.

    Good luck Mitch

Be a bad decision to let Pearce go I suggest - Uncle Nick needs to be solely in charge of this now- Players like Pearce and if he is forced out it has the potential of ruining the 2018 season - Robbo could also lose the dressing room as they say- If Cronk is signed a premiership will be expected - if not we will have a new head coach in 2019- simple as that

If Pearce goes, it would be one of the biggest mistakes the club has made in the past 20 years or so.
Im not saying he is worth his weight in gold because he’s not the best going round that’s for sure but he is solid and has a wealth of experience in our playing organisation with the support of many up high right through to the guys who take the field with him every week. If Cronk comes on board, find another spot for Pearce but don’t force him out. I also think he deserves better than that.

Pearce going is not so bad, he's a good player, but hasen't been able to lose the flaws in his game to take him too the next level, if we do sign Cronk, and its looking very much like we will, with him working with young Lauchlan Lam for the next two years, will have him ready to be the first grade halfback in 2020.

As far as Robbo goes, he is definitely under the pump , if he doesn't get the dumb penalties out of our players, and improve our defence, then his time to move on is on the cards as well.

          Maybe.

I left out a lot of his best stats you know.
          Sheer laziness on my part......................

Pretty sure he was fastest over the hundred metres of all the organising halfbacks during the period from 2010 till 2016.
He was recording the most amount of effective one on one tackles for a halfback during the peiod that encompassed 2011 till 2015.

His stats on receiving passes is untouchable.
This is so much more important than kick recieves.

People try to say he only dominated in that department with a bit of help with his friend are forgetting that he won a premiership for us and we haven't kissed his ass enough.

              Tell that to fulton.............

Could turn out to be revenge of some kind.
Mind you, a lot of Manly fans think poetic justice was served during the Cleal "talent scout" years.

I agree that Pearce is being treated very poorly but Cronk and Pearce are never going to work together. It has to be one or the other. I personally don't see the point in signing Cronk when the money can be better spent elsewhere.

I'm amazed that anyone who cares about our club could be so callous about seeing a ten year veteran who has spilt blood and tears for our joint to be treated like this,
Politis never even asked Mitch if he could approach Cooper?

Jake Friend has every right to be annoyed as well.

They enjoy every advantage that seniors players should expect............................but they are new age......................take it to another level BABY.

                  Poor Pearcey.
No one at our club has ever given him a break.

Eddie is a bit annoyed with the medias reporting of this this and all..............................but I know where that's coming from.

                  I do rate Pearce.
                  He has tried so hard.

I think he has been treated quite well over the years, considering the damage he has done to the brand, and himself with the yellow dress and dog fiasco. Club has stood by him, and given him ample talent around him to win premierships. Everything to this point has fallen in his favour. And he has delivered....

I love Pearce. But if after 10 years.... you’’re still unable to put up a spiral bomb or consistently attain repeat sets when we are in the oppositions 10.... then eventually you can’t blame the powers that be..., starting to question the time and investment that has been afforded to out favourite son.... and need to look beyond. Bring on Cronk and generation next.

If we lose Pearce, a part of me will be sad, but another part of me will feel a massive weight being lifted from my shoulders. As a dyed in the wool rooster, I feel obligated to defend our players against opposition fans, but with Pearce it's become a full time job. He has had some really good games, but I can't for the life of me remember a game where I thought he was an absolute star. He's Finch, with racing stripes and mag wheels

We are not a club that ever tolerates the lunatics running the asylum......are we?
Fair dinkum...............any one get where my main worries are stemming from?

Do we , as long suffering fans of the club, ...............consider ourselves more understanding of particular players feelings? ''''''or do we go back to calling a spade a spade?

No player should hold a club to ransom , not in this fashion.

Pearce was not why they lost the PF although it seems he is taking the blame for that loss- should be retained - many players went missing on that night and made the same mistakes they always do- Robbo's has to take the majority of the blame with team selections /underutilising players/failure in eradicating the same errors players make week in week out and having systems in place to develop players to NRL standard.

I have 18 or so players at NRL standard if we retain all these players that is but below these it is a group of inexperienced NRL players to make up the 36 player squad - 30 NRL and 6 Development players- Instead of signing Cronk they need to address the lack of depth in a range of areas- Front row and Centre and goal kicking - why I would looking at signing Joey Leilua(centre) if released by the Raiders for next season (2018) and Ethan Lowe- backrower and NRL standard goal kicker-Fitzy type of player for 2019 - both started their career with the Chooks too.

Sterlo even said the Roosters needed to add depth in other positions rather than sign Cronk - That signing if it occurs could cause more problems within the club than needed
