    KEARY’S ROOSTERS FUTURE

The Roosters’ interest in Cooper Cronk won’t have any impact on Luke Keary’s future at the club, with the playmaker eyeing a new long-term deal.

Market Watch can reveal the Roosters are in the midst of extending Keary’s contract a further three seasons.

His first season into a two-year deal was a great success and there’s no doubt in the minds of the decision-makers that Keary is the man to wear the No.6 long term.

    Chooks' lineup with Cronk

While talks started some months ago, re-signing Keary, who comes off contract in 2018, is a priority for the club.

The extension would keep the No.6 with the Tricolours until at least the end of 2021.

Make it happen. He's a star.

Letting Maloney go has panned out really well given Keary's youth.

He should.be our 5/8th for another 5 or 6 years.

Big fan. And it has nothing to do with seeing a former Souths player playing so well in our jersey.

        Cronk/Keary then Cleary/Keary = that's a halves pairing future.
        SUPER DRAGON!

Cleary? What makes you think he'll play for us?

Last night on Nine or Ten sports news the journo was talking on how much influence Cronk had on Morgan to be where he is now. As if Cooper is not going to have the same on Keary and the other young blokes.

Only a fool would not see the value in bringing a professional like Cooper Cronk to the club.

He was our best player this year.

About effing time. I''ve been on about this for months. I reckon Keary will hold off though. I don't think he would appreciate a year on the bench as a utility/hooker.
The Roosters cannot put players' careers on hold for 2 years so Cooper can do his stuff. Tough decisions need to be made if Cooper signs.

Yep, but Keary shouldn't be a part of those tough decisions.

Keary was sensational for us this year, his illness in the lead up to the Cowboys game was a big blow, he just wasn't himself, didn't have the energy to take the line on, and that really limited us in attack.

Luke Keary will not be sitting on any bench, anywhere.

                              Good news indeed.

Lydon was spot on about Keary. he picked him as a very good player when it was first announced that he was joining us, despite the whinging from many others on here.
