Ethan Lowe is a free agent November 1st- should be after him as he is an established NRL player and also a very good goal kicker and former Rooster - a Fitzy type of player - Flash will finish up in 2018 and Latrell is better off playing without goal kicking responsibilities unless the main kicker is off. Skarks will be offering Crichton a big deal as they have plenty to spend - we have at least 12 players who become free agents on November 1 (last year of their current contracts)- need to work out whom of these 12 we will retain.

I heard Cronk will take $800 per for 2 years, with the players we have offloaded already, Guerra, SKD, Evans, Watson, Hastings, Copley and others, plus some we won't be renewing like Nikorima, etc, I can't see us getting into cap problems........ and that's not allowing for either Pearse or Friend or both to move on. As for Latrell Mitchell...... surely the talk of him getting a million a year is a joke, the kid has done nothing, except maybe take away any chance we had of making the GF this year. The Roosters don't lose players they want to keep is an old saying that rings true.

That you think he's 'done nothing' doesn't mean shit. He's already one of the best attacking centers in the game and he's a deadset kid. Based on his talent and potential, other club's will be outlaying massive offers for him, guaranteed.


That's bullshit. Three recent examples - RTS, SBW, Maloney. The club wanted all three for longer and we lost them.
That saying is right up there with other crap such as 'Uncle Nick plays for premierships', 'The Dogs of war', 'Manly are silvertails', 'Souths are the working class man's club', 'Souths are the only club that understand Aboriginals' etc.
All that stuff is A-grade bullshit that might have had a grain of truth half a century ago but has fk all truth today.
