We all accept he will be one of the best 3 halfbacks to have ever played the game, but he just has to bide his time as Cronk takes us back to back.

eddie, in union now the second rows are called locks the lock number 8, the breakaways flankers, you think league has changed at least in union we do have scrums without fullbacks packing down, in fact a front rower can only be replaced by another front rower!

The healthier, saner option imo is forget Cronk. Get another good prop and watch Teddy, Pearce and Keary carve up.

I like Cronk, but he's not required imo.
We won in 2013 on the back of SBW, Jennings at his best, RTS, BBQ, and Moa being a beast.

Keary covers BBQs running game, and Latrell will be a gun - but we have lost a lot of firepower that took us to the GF win.

But there's daylight after Cronk at no.2.

And since midseason Morgan established himself and the likes of Cleary - who will obviously be better sometime soon - made up ground.

Besides I already stated that after years of sticking by Pearce I lost faith in both he and Friend.

Still good players but if we can get better - Cronk - with proven big game credentials we'd be MAD NOT TO.
Top 3 according to who? Somehow i don't think u will find any league expert or anybody of note having Pearce in the top 3. Be lucky if he is in anyone's top 6 actually, except maybe his daddy.

Only top 3 thing here lately is your complete back-flip which is surprising because Pearce's final series was not much different to any other Pearce big match.

So why the sudden change based on one game? Maybe because u seen many others jump off the pearce bandwagon. Very sheepish behaviour imo.

Then their will definetly be a riot!!
That's what i guess will happen unfortunately. Will be 6 - Pearce, 7 - Cronk and Keary the next watson off the bench. And like Watson keary will be gone at season's end.

Pearce is nick P's love child, i just see Robbo as a yes man. Pearce was already well spoilt and the chosen one well before Robbo came on the scene.

I'm convinced Pearce is still here because he is a Politis favourite.

The sheepish behaviour would have been to be off the Pearce bandwagon after the Australia Day debacle.

No way is Pearce outside the top 6 halfbacks. And I'd be happy to keep him but for the fact that one of the great halfbacks of the modern era is available. In that case you make your move.

And there's ZERO chance Keary gets moved from 5/8. Absolutely ZERO. More chance of Mitchell Paul being our halfback next year than Keary not being 5/8.

There would be a goddamned riot if Keary gets put to hooker. I'd be willing to Squizzy Taylor Henson Park if that happened.

Are some of you serious, move Pearce to center because of his defense, his defense is actually getting worse that 1st Cowboys try when a featherweight swatted him away was B grade stuff, at least in the middle there will be very little lateral movement involved when defending, blokes will just run straight at him at hooker but he will have big blokes all around him. For mine it's Half, Hooker or oblivion

I think that preliminary final loss changed a lot of opinions in the club, it was an absolute shambolic performance, disgraceful really, if wed put up a good performance and lost i doubt all this would be happening, if it all goes down the way it appears , friend looks to be the sacrificial lamb , i feel its a bit harsh as we probably overachieved this season and he wasnt the only poor performer that night ....napa, jwh anyone ? But thats football this day in age and 3 potential gf have gone begging in 4 years so yea nick looks to have finally lost patience, and yes i prob would too . All i hope is that keary remains at 5/8 and pearce better start tackling practice

Parra have officially entered the bidding war- Sharks and Knights also interested and maybe one other Sydney based club who are re-assessing fitting him under their cap.

Cooper Cronk contract: Roosters face fight from Parramatta Eels to snare halfback’s signature

The Telegraph · 14 minutes ago

PARRAMATTA remain hopeful of snatching Cooper Cronk from under the Sydney Roosters grasp. While the Roosters are the red-hot favourites, coach Brad Arthur has confirmed his club was interested in the Melbourne Storm half…

Given Robbo's penchant for playing backrowers in the centres and wingers on the bench in both our finals matches, his ability to come up with the best team combination for critical matches has to be questionable. We only got out of the game against Brisbane with a bit of individual brilliance from Latrell and the result against the Cowboys was probably the result we deserved against Brisbane.

We don't have experienced centres though and lack depth in this position and others -Latrell and Manu have work to do on their game to be established NRL players - I am thinking that Flash will play centre next year or wing at least as we need his goal kicking skills- Latrell the next best option as a goal kicker- as he will play 80 minutes -but will need to work on his goal kicking a lot to be a consistent performer in this vital role - Ethan Lowe is an option and off contract at end of 2018 and is a Fitzy type of player able to play 80 minutes and a reliable goal kicker and established NRL player as well. Should be looking at signing him for 2019- only 26 - 27 next year
