Chookpenners, what about George Burgess? I know he's had a miserable couple of seasons and dropped more ball than he would care to remember. But if ever a bloke needed a change of scenery and a fresh challenge it's him. He's a big body, a front-rower and shouldn't lack any motivation after being left out of the English World Cup squad. If we could jag him for a price and get him back to his best, he could add a bit in a position most agree we are thin on troops. Might even light a fire under our other front-rowers to have some competition for places. Thoughts?

I know I'm one eyed but I couldn't stand any of those guys in our colors.

Instinct says no. But at his best he is tough frontrower. Putting aside Souffs and Burgi hatred ... maybe.

          Pass on him.
I would love the Chooks to get Sammy boy though. I think he would be revitalized at the Roosters & would have a SBW effect.

With all his drop ball and underachieving plays George Burgress would fit right into the culture of our props. Would be a better option than Napa though

Just what we need, a player who takes nude selfies of him self and likes to throw road signs through car windscreens. Yep sign him up right away

He fits the bill perfectly, fearless, bends the line and quick play the ball. An earlier mention of Pauli Pauli too. He's had horrendous injuries last year with a dislocated hip from a car accident and then a fractured fibula on his return. Might take a while to restore his confidence. But a junior rep player both state and national and 120 kilos to boot. Could be a value buy. Don't know what happened to Poasa Faamausili, but we're only left with Vunaceke and Collins for that fourth prop role atm

Different family I know but WTF happened to Joe Burgess? He’s not in the world cup. So his career’s been like...
                    1. England’s best winger, with a zillion tries in 1 season
                    2. Went here for a challenge only to play reserve grade all year in a beaten side
                    3. Went to Souffs for a few games and played alright
                    4. Went back to England
                    5. Disappeared...

I say conspiracy!!! Probably the Illuminati up to their old games.

How the fark did we lose him? He’s the kinda tough guy we need TBH. However, rather than re-signing him, we just let him go after like 3-6 months? Never quite got that given how solid his form was.
