Which is why it's a must that we re-sign him. Otherwise all the overs we paid for getting him away from Manly are down the drain, I'm sure the club will he seems quite happy here.

Manly are having trouble finding cap space to keep their current players coming off contract. As JWH still has a year to go with us and Manly would love him back,he is the least of their worries at the moment...

I would re-sign JWH in a heartbeat.. Never takes a backward step and always looking for work.

At the time JWH came to us, Manly had little cash left after re-signing Watmough, Lyon, Matai & Ballin. They still wanted JWH but could not match what we offered. He did not want to leave. Dessie was pissed we got him. As a cheaper alternative, they bought Joe Galuvao and Shane Rodney. Also T-rex from Parra.

We did pay overs for him, as he was not an established first grader, but is on an average first graders wage at easts. We paid for the 'potential'. Would be a shame if he left now, now that he is a regular first grader. He has improved out of sight this year. But we cannot keep or sign everyone!

We should be signing blokes that have tried their butts off this year. JWH is one of these.

If it was just about signing players who have tried their butts off:

                  1. Minichiello - tries but has been very average
                  2. Perrett
                  3.
                  4. Leilua - similar to Mini, tried hard but questionable form
                  5.
                  6.
                  7. Pearce
                  8. Kennedy
                  9. Friend
                  10. Ryles
                  11. Guerra
                  12. Aubusson
                  13. Cordner

                  14.
                  15.
                  16. Hargreaves
                  17. Tasi

Kenny-Dowall and Nuuausala, and to a lesser extent Masoe and Symonds, have been pretty average this year, after all signed long term contracts within the past year or two. None have played anywhere near as good as they potentially can. We all know about the Carney problems too...
