I will put it out there now and say that Cronk at any club other than Melbourne will be all but average.

Trackiedacks- you're on the money, for Cronk to flourish a team needs systems,unity , parameters for each individual,respect and humility and a culture Cronk has been apart of building for over a decade.

Ask yourselves what makes Cronk a point of difference ? can't be his size , can't be his speed , not his good looks but his professional approach to the game and his attitude to improve him self and those around him.

Like him or loath him you need to admire him.

I don't mind that idea.

In all the posts there are suggestions of getting new forwards, new halves and of course a new coach.

For me, what we are mostly lacking are players with a bit of intelligence. Trent is a bright guy and I wish he would get some brighter players.

Having said that, our front rowers are lacking. Lui and Taukeiaho are locks in the current game that should be rotated. Cords, Aubs, Matto live the the 2nd row. That leaves Tetevano as a prop (great buy) . Napa and JWH lacked last night and the question is are they going to improve? Need another big bopper hopefully one with a 3 digit IQ.

I agree with Fletch sign Cronk as a halves coach if he decides to retire and live in Sydney he can replace Joey to which wouldn't be a big loss tbh.

What's Johns done for us anyway except rape our club for money? If his job with us is to improve the halves and their kicking games, doesn't look like it's working? I'm not going to bag Pearce but many on here seem to with quite good reason.

I have grave doubts if we can ever win another comp with MP as Half- sure he was not helped by an unwell Keary who Robbo should not have played and errors- But he didn't take the game on and again his kicking game was solely up and under's and hope - Was very much outplayed by Morgan one on one - I also have to say Coach Robbo's selections didn't help either - why select an unfit Toops and unwell Keary in your 17- Watson could have played 5/8 and Evans into the 17 plus another forward - Again another missed opportunity for a GF appearance like 2014/2015 as a result of poor play and poor coaching- Don't say oh we came 15th last year and made the prelim this year either - should never have finished 15th last year - May not get another chance for a while of a GF appearance as who knows what may happen in 2018.

One minute yo say that we can't win a premiership with Pearce and we should sign Cronk and then when we sign Cronk (allegedly) you start a hundred threads that we shouldn't. Make up your mind FFS.

I reckon we're just trolling the market so that we can grab Crichton on the cheap.

We've probably done this:
1. Offered Gronk $800 so that whoever wants him has to pay over a million for him (messing up their salary cap)
2. Souffs will do it because we got Keary, leaving them without a decent half
3. After Souffs have done it they'll have to release either Sam Burgess or Chichton... we'll get 1 of them on the cheap because we need another forward
