  • Hope we win next year.

I don't think this team is up to defeating the bad calls we are about to recieve.
We are not in the "nrl's" good books for a lot of reasons, pity it matters.

Flannagan (the easy target) and hypocritical loser..................and to a bigger extent , Barrett, have done us no favours.

Two games to win the comp!!!!........We'll have to win both of them two or three times.

Greenbug talks the talk, and a couple of idiots have given him exactly what he wanted.
2009 revisited, bumper gate , big stories, and the perfect excuse for anyone who complains about the "rub of the green" to be howled down.

Rothfield embarressed himself tonight, because he was paying back a debt.

Don't give up on 2016 yet, Eddy.

I always said we were a punchers chance.

Now we're a little more than that because requirements 1 & 2 have been met (Win wk 1 and be at full strength).

I just feel like we've got one 80 minute performance in us and I do think a 2003 boil over is on the cards.

The massive underdog that played a flawless game (Penrith) vs the unbackable juggernaut (Roosters).

Only this time it could be Roosters v Storm. We have no right to be favourites but we're a shot.

          Lolol

Fark I can't even remember the year.

I think that's a classic sign of brain function slowing down.

            I know what you mean.
We stole souffs comp off them in 13.

            Flanagans rant was almost insanity.

Wouldn't swap Robbo for any coach in the game.

Flanagan is mentally ill. It's been known around the traps for quite a well. The media won't touch the story, but take it as a given.

                Don't hold that against him.
It's his grip on reality , and the fact he's in a position of influence that is the real concern.

Hey Eddie. What will be will be. I've been actively following the roosters for over 40 years. I live in Maroubra and the roosters flags are already out on cars window jams. We're one game away from a GF. I can't effing believe that.........not in 2017........I was waiting for 2018 (but that will be just as tough no doubt - many teams will get so much better than this year (Us, maybe parra, maybe penrith, throw in Brisbane).

What I've learned this year more so than any other year is that it is so frigging hard to reach a Grand Final, let alone Win it. We've won 12 games by 6 points or less, 7 games by 2 points or less. These are records and are truly remarkable. We've made history. No other team may ever surpassed what we've already achieved. But we have not peaked. I reckon all other teams are peaking or have already peaked and played their GF. Against the Broncos we were so much more dominant than the Broncos yet they nearly won it on their last attacking play. Bounce of the ball decided it.

We won in 2013 against so many factors, but most importantly we had the desire and the never-give-up mentality, and we had some luck. Reminds me a bit of this year.

But I firmly believe that for a team to win the GF they have to be willing to do all it physically and mentally takes to win. Normally this comes with time without a GF win. Thats why its almost impossible to go back to back, or win 2 in the space of 4-5 years. I've got this feeling in my gut that Parra are due, as are Penrith. Both have kids with no fear, skill, and the old steadying hard heads. I think Cowboys are done, and Brisbane have had injuries at the wrong time of the year - like us in 2015.

Lastly though, as can be seen by the first week of semis, there is nothing in it this year. Anyone can still win, the Storm have peaked all year but are beatable, I just hope that the GF is not decided by a monumental blunder by the officials. Maybe, the Mighty Roosters will peak in time.

I did when Pearcey played 'dog and the bone' at that party.

I actually think all the press about refereeing has played right into our hands. Refs will be overtly cautious for the rest of the semis to ensure they aren't seen as favouring one team.

The fact that Cecchin reffed us fairly and reffed the only game to avoid scrutiny also bodes well.

He must be odds on fave for the GF barring a disaster which would be great should we manage to get there.

Were in it to win it Eddie and welcome back!

Yes Trakky daks I call it the poodle of death that wrote off our season last year. Well that plus letting BBQ sizzle away, Jenkos head west, Cords deciding to tear a pec, JWH still in rehab and picking Fergo to replace RTS and Nikorima being anointed the saviour with his side kick making us forget about BBQ. It all spelt impending DOOM!!!!!!!!

It was a mess. We could have done better with the potential of the players we did field but their heads weren't in the right place, thus 2nd last resulted. To me, you need to have a pretty poor year to get on a golden run and I can see us challenging for the title over the next 2-3 years and at least being a top 8 side for the next 5.
